You just need to demonize the enemy in order to justify the involvements. Hadn´t France and Britain not declared war on Germany, the whole thing would never have happened. When they hear Malmedy, many Americans get mad over the Germans. This thread will put an end to this for the American readers. In short words, history "coverage" does not catch up with the findings of the victor´s justice. All defendants were released but media still teach the "Malmedy Massacre".
There was no such thing as a "Malmedy Massacre". During the Adrennes Offensive, German special forces led by war hero Skorzeny (Waffen-SS, acquittal in Nuremberg) caused trouble behind enemy lines. In US uniforms, they mucked around with the US forces. They had order to not to fight in false uniforms, which was prohibited. Among the Americans, panic broke out and they probably shoot each other. Propaganda used their tragedy to create a new fantastic story.
The bombings of Malmedy are rarely mentioned because of their ruthless character. Allied bombers reduced many places to ashes in France, Belgium and anywhere, where "liberation" took place. German forces indeed entered the town of Malmedy but quickly withdrew. When the US bombers targeted the town, the city was full of civilians and US soldiers. Thousands were killed in this tragedy.
While as only fact remains, that the dead of the civilians of Malmedy was accepted, we still hear about this alleged massacre that has never happened. It is time for fake historians and the media to refrain from their proven lies that still unnecessarily create gaps between the German and the American people.
What an odd bit of history to resurrect and lie about. Nobody is talking about Malmedy except for a Nazi fanboy like you.
Germany and the United States are now allies. You decided it was necessary to bring up this episode in order to glorify the Nazi's and the SS.
And France and Britain declared war because Germany invaded Poland. Not invading Poland would have not only prevented the Malmedy massacre- but the death of millions of Poles.
jesus christ---there are white supremacists/neo-nazis/etc all over, aren't there???You just need to demonize the enemy in order to justify the involvements.
