In the last 50 years, nobody has done it better than Karl Rove for the Republicans. He almost literally saved his party.

If they were smart, they'd use the time to focus on what the GOP is doing instead of addressing poor GOP planning. One month ago today, over 100 people died because the GOP never installed sensors in the hill country. They haven't even recovered all of the bodies yet! But somehow a naked power-grab is more important than ensuring the safety of children.

Most Texans, of course, won't care but this is what the democrats should be highlighting. You may get one or two of the bumpkins to acknowledge reality.

People like you have been around since humans started to walk the earth. You come with ideas and then find when your views do not work as intended in total ways, population reductions happen. As a progressive you won your agendas. And we are slowly seeing that the extremes of them are vile to many in the general population. There is a place for all of us. which meant that 10 straight redistricting (if population warranted it) maps were drawn by Democrats.

In 2010 - Southern Democrats in NC were so afraid of Obama policies that they put the Republicans in charge as a buffer.
