Well, that's just this year. Overall Republicans are still behind in gerrymandering. But, it was an easy win since Republicans had a lot they could gerrymander and democrats had already done most of theirs. Republicans were just playing catch up.

The trouble is that this may tur4n out to be dummymandering., Republicans are not going to pick up 5 seats. Hispanics will bury Republicans. The same may be t4rue in Florida. Democrats won the mayor's race in Miami. Democrats have flipped Republican seats by double digit numbers.
