Are the Serbs or the Bosniaks the Turks?

Serbs refer to Bosniaks as Poturice (Turkified people); Bosniaks typically take offense at this and retort that Serbs were raped by the Turks—implying that Serbs are the ones who are actually Turks. Croats, on the other hand, call Bosniaks "pure Croats" and side with them. However, I know many Bosniak women who have Turkish husbands and children with them—more so than with Serb men. Bosniaks also sometimes say that they are "Turkish sons" and that their traditional culture is Turkish. That is why I do not understand why they react with offense; to me, it seems more plausible that Bosniaks are Turks than that Serbs are.
