Not as I see it...as is the fact...whatever nation levies a tariff, that nation's importers pays the tariff. France tarriffs our widget, the importer pays for the widgets then has to pay French Customs to take ownership of the things they bought.

What is you objection to having a trade deficit on non-vital goods (blenders, copiers, pillows, etc...)?

The Canadians are upset because 1) It will reduce the number of their products bought, and 2) They signed NAFTA and then the USMCA agreement with the expectation that this sort of shit won't happen.

NAFTA was a bad deal for America.
