Tariff ruling.

All I'm saying is that isn't nearly the magnitude of a win the TDS set says it is, nor a loss as big as the panic button crowd is acting like.

A guy of Bessent's caliber doesn't just come out and say basically "yeah, so what?", if he doesn't have a Plan B & C.
It means Trump's tariffs can't pay for any of his programs.

The problem is that Kavanaugh and the other conservatives on the court have applied the major question doctrine over and over and over and over to the executive branch. That executive agencies need specific congressional authorization.

They are only applying the same standards to everyone.
Here is the weird Democrat thinking.
Democrats tell us congress is right, unless republicans are the major party.
Tell us the Supreme Court is wrong.
Until one day 3 justices break ranks and vote with Democrats.

All those complaints about "Sleepy Joe", and now Dementia Don keeps nodding off during cabinet meetings and now at his so-called Board of Peace.
Board of Peace while he prepares to start another war......:dunno:

So, a stacked court ruled against him.

How does that work?
he didn't stack it as good as he thought

To men like Trump, they should be invariably loyal to him

he did not count on them being more loyal to their own conscience and their personal interpretations of the law. That's an utterly foreign concept to men like Trump who've always operated under a system of quid pro quo and cronyism

It's a narrower ruling than the TDS crowd is telling us.

Obviously from the reaction of Bessent, the alternatives were already in the pipeline.

no doubt the corrupted maga regime wants to hold on to their criminal influence, but that's all
over, will get worse for them after Hakeem Jeffries takes the gavel away from maga-mike later this year..

You sure show up with a politically inventive mind.

Or, perhaps that wasn't the real reason. An objective court defies political scrutiny. A biased one does.

It also throws critiques like yours on its backside.

That was very bad. Obama lit the fuse that got Democrats in Trumps face to impeach him.
Trump is only guilty of working for the public interest.
Assuming your statement is correct, then he can pursue greater authority via Congress. Whats the issue?

<~~~~~~~~~~>
You are blind to what just happened. The Supreme Court struck down specific tariffs that were based on the IEEPA law and left in place ALL the tariffs that Trump placed on countries because of “national security.” So what does Trump do? He immediately goes out and restores the same tariffs by declaring “national security.” Nothing has changed. The tariffs still apply and now there is legal clarification. The president has “plenary power” under the Constitution, when it comes to “national security.” Checkmate! It was the perfect boomerang

You seem to have missed the renewal period for those tariffs. Given that you can't get 60 votes for a cloture motion, the most pain your blob can inflict is 150 days of oh yeah, I'll show you which hasn't worked yet anyway. Imports are actually up.

Democrats appear to believe this is all over for Trump. My hunch is all the court did was delay him a bit.
