Syria Gas Attack; Trump silent. What a leader!

Why is it our problem what happens in Syria?
The United States is more capable than any country to stop the Syrian dictator from gassing innocent children. To do nothing should cause Americans shame.
We can't do jack shit, the window has already passed. Let it play out, just another Middle Eastern problem.
A lot of Americans, I suppose, do not want to be spectators alone while innocent children and their parents are being gassed to an excruciating death. But most Americans seem not to care enough to want their Commander-in-Chief to stop Assad.
There will be just another to take his place, it's fruitless to try to help those refugees. It is not worth the cost whatsoever in any effort is a diminishing return
The children who were gassed today were not refugees.
Whether they were refugees or not we can do nothing about it, this country can not afford to get into that shit storm.

A stable Middle East is in America's interests

There has never been any such thing in human history

so the orange sociopath should allow anarchy and cede america's role in the world to satisfy vladimir?

maybe he should pretend he's president of this country and not russia's tool

I missed the part of the Constitution that says the United States military is responsible for the entire world

you missed 4 trillion $ for a purple thumb ?

Who said I supported the Iraq invasion?

... 4. Drag the US into the middle of a civil war between terrorists and a dictator, Un-Constitutionally beginning a war in Syria...OH WAIT. TOO LATE - OBAMA ALREADY DID THAT.
By virtue of its position on the United Nations Security Council, violations of international law such as the use of gas on civilians is the business of the United States. The Security Council is required to get involved in the Syrian civil war.

It is not the sole business / responsibility of the United States to deal with a world nation using chemical weapons on its people. The U.N. Security Council did not issue the disastrously failed 'Red line' - that was all Barry.

I'm pro Obama....can't stand Trump. But I have this to say, knowing closely what's going in Syria:

1- The Obama administration made the situation worse in Syria.

2- Trump being the idiot he is instead of stepping as "the free world leader" and condemning Russia and Bashar he's sleeping with them in bed.

3-I'm so shocked that a president of the USA is cozzing up to a regime like Russia.....it's mind blowing.

A regime like Russia vs the Chinese or vs Saudi Arabia? Last I looked women were free in Russia.

I guess you missed the other post I made to you. The United States led coalition managed to kill more Syrian civilians in March than ISIS or Russia.

when you support terror like trump does....ie assad this is your reward

Obama and other western leaders are responsible for fomenting the "faux civil war" and allowing the rise of ISIS. Nice freaking job Obama.

ISIS is on the decline.

The terrorist group has been able to hold on to some of the territory in Iraq and Syria that it first seized in 2014, when its rampage across the Middle East shocked the world.

But since then, ISIS's self-declared caliphate — the increasingly fractured swath of territory it controls and rules as an Islamic emirate — has shrunk. The group — aka the Islamic State, ISIL, or Daesh — has attracted thousands of fighters, local and foreign, with its message of "remaining and expanding," but it hasn't been able to make good on its promise of world domination.

Days before ISIS's two-year anniversary of the declaration of its caliphate, the group suffered another blow. It officially lost control of the first major city it seized: Fallujah, Iraq.

nice job Obama

You are mistaken, your popular habit of blaming every failing of the American president on his predecessor which is the tweet from the White House regarding the Syrian dictator's conduct, neglects the fact that the United States must join with the other UN Security Council members in policing breaches of international law such as the use of gas as a weapon or war.

Holy shit lib, Obama drew a red line and then like the coward he is let Syria gas people and did nothing. Then lied and claimed it wasn't even his red line. You got some balls bringing up this subject.
Trump said things would be different on his watch. This is one of the reasons he said to vote for him. Now what is he going to do? The same thing Obama was doing.

Thanks for staying the course and proving us liberals right.

Again, snowflakes are criticizing Trump for not taking action to fix Obama's Syrian F* Up.
It was Obama's Red Line .
It was Obama who backed down when his bluff was called.
It was Obama who supported ISIS in this civil war.
it was Obama who dragged the US into an Un-Constitutional, Un-approved war.
Syria has been dumped into Trump's lap.

Reality is a ***** for snowflakes.

So you think Trump should have fixed in a matter of 3 months the massive foreign policy failure and un-Constitutional war Obama dragged us into over a period of years?

Sorry, ISIS was the result of Bush invading Iraq, but you already knew that

The strongest entity in any scenario is by default responsible for what goes on around them, good or bad. In world politics if the US doesn't lead then China and Russia seize the opportunity. If atrocities are occurring and the US doesn't respond we lose some moral authority in the eyes of the world.

Superpower carries its benefits and it's burdens.

Assad is guilty of crimes against humanity and it is well documented on video. Anyone that can watch the latest video of children gasping for breath after a chemical attack and side with Assad, who is now as bad as Isis, is not human.

Russia is allied with Assad which is no surprise, Putin murders people without having to think about it. Thank god McCain came out and castigated drumpf for inaction in the face of Assad's crimes against humanity.
Got any evidence to go with all the accusations?

Yes but you are required to have functioning eyes and ears. Sorry.
You have nothing but your emotions.

There is no need to rush to judgements based on emotion. It doesn't help the people who have and are suffering from the attack. It doesn't make you more patriotic. It does make you more susceptible to manipulation by your own government who clearly has a political agenda inside of Syria that has exacerbated the situation for the innocent Syrian population.

Your eyes and ears are useless when you are relying on information about a conflict half a world away from a corporate media with no eyes and ears on the ground. You need a functional brain to process all the implications and a healthy level of distrust in the corporate power structure that is feeding you your thoughts or you are just going to help drag us even further into another immoral war.

You are an emotional wreck, have an Ambien and take a nap.

Your entire world is built on assuming nobody else knows anything. Sorry, it's you.
