Trump Calls High Gas Prices ‘Peanuts’ as Economic Approval Rating Plunges

President Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed rising gas prices as “peanuts,” even as new polling shows his economic approval sinking to new lows.

"This is peanuts. I appreciate everybody putting up with it for a little while. But I don't even think about. What I think about is you can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon," Trump told reporters at the White House.

The remarks underscore growing political pressure as inflation and an average U.S. fuel cost of $4.53 per gallon weigh on voters, with surveys showing widespread dissatisfaction with Trump’s handling of the economy. The disconnect could shape the 2026 midterm elections, with voters increasingly blaming the White House for rising costs at the pump, largely due to the Iran War.

Please link to your outrage when the national average was at $5.02 under your demented hero in June of 2022. Hmm, seems your concern is disingenuous.

What a great guy. This is who people voted for. Someone to run up the costs to where they are unsustainable.

Where've you been. You've been told that Biden was doing that for five years now. You're a bit slow on the uptake. BTW, eggs are $2.17 for 18 at Wally World.

Great, what are you saying? It's summer, just stay home and eat eggs?

I think you are right, Biden should've have prevented the high gas prices by...well...ummm...maybe inventing the time machine and preventing the pandemic in Trump's last term?

Sure seems a lot more complicated than Trump SIMPLY NOT STARTING A WAR of choice.

Funny thing…you voted for Trump thinking you’d get conservative policies, but you got the continuation of Biden’s policies.

Hahahahahaha!

Which were the continuation of Trumps policies, which were the continuation of Obamas policies which were continuation of Bush's policies.

Naw, I'm traveling---just like I did when Biden's gas prices were higher than the current prices. I'll have more money to spend on the temporary gas spike because I am saving on eggs though--the extra tax money that I have this year helps as well. Next?
