Socialism Gets Tested

Bernie Sanders passionately believes in Socialism and is explicitly trying to sell it to the American People. No bullshit. Not trying to hide.

Contrast that with the pussies hiding Socialism and pretending their platform is something else.

I could not disagree more with Sanders but respect him 100 percent for being up front and honest on where he stands. For this, I would like to see a Sanders vs. Trump Election in '16 so that we can get honest, passionate, debates from two distinct sides. Instead, we will get Hillary vs. Jeb. Hillary will try and show all of the white guy swing voters in Iowa that she is for small business and Jeb will be dancing on egg shells hoping blacks don't call him racist and that women refrain from saying he is leading the faux war on women.
Part of Sanders' appeal is that he really believes the bullshit he's saying. He is honest and upfront about turning America into some version of France. The fact that he is wrong on every issue is no impediment. He is personally honest and has integrity and thus a real contrast to Hillary Two-devices Clinton.

"The fact that he is wrong on every issue is no impediment."

Actually, he's right on one....

Bernie Sanders favors " American support for Israel and Israel's incursion into the Gaza Strip."

...“you have situation where Hamas is sending missiles into Israel,” adding that those rockets are often originating from populated areas."
ww.mediaite.com/online/excuse-me-shut-up-bernie-sanders-defends-israel-from-town-hall-hecklers/
Even a blind pig. I'll attribute that one to Bernie being Jewish. a fact not brought out often here. Yet.
We can always count on bigoted assholes like you to remind us about race or ethnicity.

The commie idiots in China, who are just a couple of generations ahead of the lefty leaders here, proclaim their commie masters' wisdom and thank their abusive leaders when people from the outside world risk their lives come into the country to provide routine medical care that the rest of the world has access to. Brainwashing does work. Anybody who doubts it can take a look at the idiotic lefty posts in this thread. Or anything that Lakota, coyote or care4all post.
China has not been a communist country for years.

"China has transformed itself from a centrally plannedclosed economy in the 1970’s to a manufacturing and exporting hub over the years. The Chinese economy is propelled by an equal contribution from manufacturing and services (45 percent each, approximately) with a 10 percent contribution by the agricultural sector. The Chinese economy overtook the US economy in terms of GDP based on PPP. However, the difference between the economies in terms of nominal GDP remains large. China is currently a $10.35 trillion economy and has been growing at around seven percent in the recent years. (Related reading, see: Why China Is "The World's Factory.")"

They're still communist. Lefties don't like to acknowledge that, because then they have to admit they're commies, too.

He must be a Democrat....and Democrats are socialists.....and, therefore, communists.

Wow. That's like an altar built to the False Equivalency Fallacy.

Remember, Chic......you don't actually know what socialists or communists are. They're pejoratives to you. like watching a 4 year old try to curse. You might as well be calling someone a 'dumb-dumb head' for as much relevance as your claims to reality.

For example, most democrats don't advocate collective ownership of all means of production, a central tenet of communism. How do you reconcile this fundamental incompatibility between your claims and the meaning of the terms you're using?

You make up your own meanings. If only reality worked that way.

"Remember, Chic......you don't actually know what socialists or communists are."

So good to see you sign up for an education!

In an article on socialism in the Encyclopedia Britannica, Prof. G. D. H. Cole, a leading theoretician and historian of the British Labor Party, declares: The distinction between socialism as distinguished by various Labor and Socialist parties of Europe and the New World, and communism, as represented by the Russians and minority parties in other countries is one of tactics-and-strategy rather than one of objective.

Communism is indeed only socialism pursued by revolutionary means and making its revolutionary method a canon of faith...."

In The Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels stated that communist ends can be attained "only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions."

All that remains, now, is for you to

a. Admit that you didn't realize you are a socialist/communist if you voted for Barack Obama....

or...

b. You are a socialist/communist.

Waiting.

Libs do the same thing when it comes to being reminded of the uncomfortable similarities between their own ideology, and the Nazi ideology. To head that off, they idiotically shriek that as soon as anyone brings up the word "Nazi" everybody must start laughing hysterically and pretending the idea of them having the same goals is just silly.

We see what SOCIALISM has done, and IS DOING to America.... dragging us down into the third world! Look to the Manchurian muslim's agenda's and policies!

I know, I rather suspect the idiot socialists are going to oversee their own destruction via criminal alien and violent muslim invasion. It's the only positive thing about them turning the us into a shithole.
It is only a shithole in the areas in close proximity to wherever you happen to be. No one is stopping you from leaving.

Actually, they are not. But, then again, you and Political Chic are too stupid to know what any of these terms mean.

Show us the Encyclopedia Britannica article saying as much.

And of course, Socialism doesn't advocate the abolishment of all private property, making a distinction between personal property (like clothing, personal affects, houses, etc) and means of production (factories, farms, etc).

While most democrats don't call for the public ownership of all means of production or the abolishment of all private property.

These are enormous differences. Yet you laughably insist that they are all the same. And with such a blunder demonstrate that you don't know what you're talking about. You don't know what a communist is, you don't know what a socialist is, and you can't recognize the enormous disparity between both systems and that advocated by democrats.

Try again.

Socialism runs contrary to human nature; as such, it will, eventually, fail.

Human behavior is a push and pull between self interest and cooperation. Any system that relies exclusively on one or the other is going to have problems.

Calling China a communist economy is like you're insisting you're a vegetarian because you only eat meat on weekdays. China practices none of the major tenets of communism.

First you say China is socialist. Now you deny it. Make yp your tiny mind.
The truth is that countries succeed to the extent they adopt free market models. They fail to the extent they adopt socialist models. China was a failed state through the 1970s because of the socialist model. They became successful when they adopted the free market model.

You're the one bringing up Obamacare. What do you believe it is that's relevant to our discussion?

Make your case.

Yes I am, since it is an example of democrats placing the means of production under the control of the state,

You are trying to pretend that democrats don't promote socialism - yet your party lied, cheated, and defrauded in order to place 1/6th of the economy in exactly that position.

Relatively successful. Their people are not successful, their people are starving and are dragged out of their homes in the middle of the night for forced abortions. Which of course gives our progressives woodies.

"Show us blah blah blah...."

Translation: you can't. If you're going to cite a quote and a source, you damn well better be able to back it up.

And you, my little regurgitator, can't. Just link to the site that's doing your thinking for you today. As you clearly have nothing to offer but link free 'quotes' and paraphrases of arguments you clearly don't understand.

Nor can you explain to us the enormous differences between socialism and communism as it relates to private property. Nor can your argument sustain an even passing review of the fact that most democrats don't advocate the abolishment of private property or the collective ownership of all means of production.

Sigh.....another Polichic fail.
