The big, beautiful cage might be the perfect way to select our leaders. I think we should just fill it with $50 bills to the top and let 10 congress critters into it at a time until one of them has all the money and goes on to the final round. Maybe put a few underage kids in there for added excitement. Repeat until we have 60 finals for a single elimination finale. Nadler vs Pelosi vs Lyndsey Graham, imagine the thrills. I think this would bring back national pride, or at least simulate it, and we would not notice anything else going on for the selection process, which could be stretched out for 4 years easily with pregame hype. The losers could go back to their regular grifting duties. I think this would not only be cheaper but would be fairer than how we do it now.
