Socialism always fails

So why would anyone support socialism and communism when both failed, created oppression, mass slaughter, and wars. How do you coexist with Russia. Ask Ukraine. Supporting a model that always fails is not pragmatism thats stupidity.

The key is having a mixed economy, not just a single type. In the US we have all three and they all work fairly well with each other.
