So how many of you get mail on Saturday? If not what about stopping USPS delivery on Saturdays?

I get mail on Saturdays. I would be fine with just getting it every other day. Three or four days a week is okay.

so they are not part of the budget and they dont take tax payer money but they can borrow from the treasury of up to 15 billion which they make payments on to pay it back,,,,if they are owned by the govt should they not support it?...
Well, if they can't pay their bills so badly that they have to borrow money from the government, how do they intend to pay the government back? At some point you have to make a profit to be able to pay the money back.

they will not let them make a profit...this is one of the reasons many PMG's from the private sectors have quit after only a few years,,,,

I like getting mail on Saturday. Is this a great country, or what?

they dont do any better.....and i can give many examples just on my route were they fucked up....
You don’t need perfection to be better. They fix their own **** ups on their own dime. That alone is an improvement.

A lot of small businesses depend on the U.S. mail. 'Privatize' it and the costs of home delivery will skyrocket.

Why would that happen? The cost could actually go down. The USPS isn’t operating at market value with government subsidies. That means one of two things is wrong. Either the overhead is way too high or the price for services is too low. Which one do you think it is?

I’ve lived in places like that and they had no delivery to our home. You get a mailbox and go get it yourself.
