lol no it isnt....the union doesnt have the power to cut postal expenses...thats done by someone else....and we never had a problem with automation its just how they implemented it we had a problem with....

And, UPS and the others lose stuff all the time. I've never had the Post Office lose anything of mine, ever; been late few times but never lost.

Stop delivery on Saturdays would save over $300 million. Why not? I don't need it on Saturday!

And that would save what, about .01 cents on a first class stamp? I get mail and packages on Sat, and packages on Sunday from the USPS. BTW, most rural carriers aren't hourly employees.

The National Rural Letter Carrier Agreement conforms to Section 7(b)(2) of the FLSA. Certain regular rural carriers assigned to a route of 35 hours or more (31 paid miles or more) receive a guaranteed annual wage based on the number of hours, or miles, assigned to their route.......

on my route i used to see UPS and FED-X mis-deliveries all the time....those guys like the PO are only as good as the person doing the deliveries....which means the subs on the route make the most mis deliveries....when i come back from a week off ....i would pick up misdeliveries,mail from the previous tenants,vacant boxes MARKED vacant stuffed with mail....and complaints from the people....same thing with them...

Lol. Like I said, the union doesn’t want any jobs cut and the post office is not allowed to raise prices enough to make a profit. We are using taxpayer money loaned to the PO to deliver junk mail we don’t even want.
