CNN’s Dovere: Biden Will Be Remembered as the ‘Guy Who Was Just in Between the Trump Terms’

He added, “I think it’s a really difficult thing for Joe Biden to know that he came into the presidency as a rejection of Donald Trump, and here he is being replaced by Donald Trump. I think back to an interview that I did with Joe Biden, he’d been president for about three weeks, for a book that I wrote. A part of the takeaway that I have with him trying to assert himself as Joe Biden, the guy who got elected president, not just Barack Obama’s vice president, not just the guy who beat Donald Trump. But now that is part of who he is. And it may define who he is a couple of weeks before the election. I had a conversation with a senior person in the White House and I said, if Harris loses most of the way that Biden is going to be remembered, at least in the short term, as the guy who was just in between the Trump terms.”

Ouch! Sounds like CNN would just like to forget about Biden and Kamala.
Biden will be remembered for Bidenomics- high inflation, high gas prices, high food prices, and high mortgage rates.

Rude.

He will be known for more than this. It will but the job of historians to determine the impact of his presidency, positive and negative and judge it on balance.

Joe Biden is up at the top of the list of presidents.

Basically the same things Jimmy Carter is remembered for.

At least Carter had a mid-east peace deal to hang above the mantle. Biden has zero foreign policy accomplishments.

Exactly, except that Carter wasn't a corrupt crime family boss like Joe.
If Trump turns the economy around as many think he will, the Dems will be in the political desert for over a decade.

When the Panama canal issue came up the first thing I thought of was Carter giving it away.

President Jimmy Carter and Panamanian Chief of Government Omar Torrijos signed the Panama Canal Treaty and Neutrality Treaty on September 7, 1977. This agreement relinquishes American control over the canal by the year 2000 and guarantees its neutrality.

Compared to Biden, Carter was peanuts. :p

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard one or the other party was finished...

The American voter is fickle as hell. We can have a great thing going and we'll still fuck it up for no reason.

When Harry Truman lost the New Hampshire primary in 1952, he withdrew from the race. no one was particularly sad to see him go. He had terrible press. The Unions hated him for envoking the Taft-HartlyvAct, the Republicans were accusing him of “losing China”. Not to mention the Korean War.

Hardly twenty years passed before people began to realize that his had actually been a very consequential Presidency.

Democrats had to wait 12 years to get back into the White House post Carter. Hopefully, we can keep them out even longer after Bidenomics.

tRump is tied for last place.

Reality, Son. It sucks sometimes but you can't change it.
is that why your dear leaders forced him not to run again .. and is that why his is leaving office with historically low approval ratings .. and his approval rating has dropped another 4 points since the article in the link posted below was published !
