So how many of you get mail on Saturday? If not what about stopping USPS delivery on Saturdays?

There's a lot more to it than many realize.
No room for reforms eh ? Sounds like reforms are needed, because you two have sounded totally stressed out about having to deal with so much mail.

if you worked there as a carrier you would be stressed out to when you see 3 days of mail to put up and carry....but thats something you outsiders just cant comprehend....

unless you have seen a carriers case in the morning and how much mail is there to put up you cant comprehend.....
So wouldn't it be better if somehow that stress and load was minimized through reforms and regulatory actions ?

You don't seem to be listening.
we had new people who would come in and think how hard could it be to deliver a few letters?.....until they saw all those letters they had to case up and pull it down and load up the to small truck and deliver it all in 8 hours...lol...many never made it through the first few weeks....

I was carrying before the presort machines and such. Sometimes it felt like that scene from Men in Black II.

You are fairly east in the eastern Time Zone. I live MUCH further north and west. I lived on the westernmost county in the eastern Time Zone. The next county where I worked was Central time. Also, the county due south was Central. Your being south helps it get dark earlier too.

The days are longer further north in summer. Ever hear land of the midnight sun? I once visited Seattle and the sun rose in the summer about 4:45 am. That really sucked when my granddaughter wanted to play when she woke up and I had been in bed about 2 hours after picking up her Dad at work.
The furthest Eastern point in the USA is Semisopochnoi Island, yet it's time zone is different to the likes of Maine.
