Simple question libs

If you think the electoral college is so bad, why did you invent super delegates?
The super delegates were invented by the left, because they, liberal elites, knew that their dumbass constituents wouldn't vote for the person they, the elites knew would be a better candidate, which was why in 2016 the Democrat Primary was stolen from Bernie(The Socialist) Sanders, and given to the sick bitch, who enabled a racist husband to become president, and was supposed to be the smartest woman in the world, who didnt know anything about classified information. What is worse, is that it is true that a liberal voter has an IQ below 70 because they vote for the very people who keep them poor and miserable..

The biggest problem I have with the Electoral College is ...

... why do people have to get into debt with student loans just to vote?

Good question. Should have directed it to Democrats. After all, it is a Democratic Party thing.
And if they think they would get rid of them...

Superdelegate
In American politics, a superdelegate is an unpledged delegate to the Democratic National Convention who is seated automatically and chooses for themselves for whom they vote. These Democratic Party superdelegates include elected officials and party activists and officials.

The crazy liberals are upset because Hillary might have won if not for the electoral college. So they want it abolished. When their choice for president doesn't win because of the popular vote but would have won from the electoral college they will be up in arms to keep it. There has to be no reasoned thought behind anything it is all just the moment.

I haven't seen a case where Super Delegates have ever made a difference in choosing the Democratic candidate

Things change in politics

There used to be a time when a sitting President used to be allowed to fill Supreme Court vacancies

Why are you guys always going back to 44. 44 did this, 44 did that. You need to stop deflecting.

Only one election is decided using the Electoral College because STATES ELECT the President, not "The People". We are a collection of states, not a "collective" like the USSR. The EC works as intended. It's not going anywhere, and the states that are trying to circumvent the Constitution illegally will be smacked down by the Supreme Court, or lower courts.

I've been hearing arguments for abolishing the Electoral College since I came here in 2015. It is in the forefront right now because some Dems are pushing the idea, but the idea of abolishing it has been around at least since the 60's.

IMPEACH 44 can now become a REALITY!

The President does not represent "The People". The President represents the STATES who elect him/her. We are a collection of States. The State was meant to be your primary government, not the Feds. Lincoln illegally killed that, but it is the basis for our country.

The Feds were never meant to have the power they have. The concept was that your state capital is closer to you and you could go and complain to your politicians if you didn't like them. Local (state) governments FEAR their constituents more because they are more accessible. Washington D.C. is too far away for most, and TOO INSULATED. They have become like Royalty.

I really do not think that you can compare a handful of people talking about an idea to what is being pandered today.

If you look hard enough I am sure you could find a few talking about doing away with all technology but not many are going to take that seriously. But if one of the major political parties began to back the idea then it would take on importance.

Super delegates are a bridge between the old way of selecting the nominee and the new way. It was not that long ago there was no primary system and the parties choose their nominee with zero input from the general population.

The old way seemed to produce better candidates for POTUS.
