What is most ironic about WW2 is that we won but the real enemies were never overseas - they were in the USA
And now the Marxist fascist are months away from seizing all power

I dont know if the soviets had a role in it, but it started way later then hitler. in 1960s with hippies and sexual revolution and the american civil rights movements that was all long after hitler. it makes no sense to defend hitler.

In the first place, we should have been in Berlin 2 months ahead of FDRs Master, Uncle Joe.

Second, Patton wrote in his diary that the ultimate disposition of Eastern Europe made WWII a strategic failure for the west. All it did was trade dictators leaving great European cities in the hands of the "descendants of Genghis khan"

There was never a régime more susceptible to "decapitation" than Stalin's. A Hiroshima bomb over Moscow at the right moment would have stopped the Soviet Union from being a functioning unit. At that same moment, Germany was also already done. The whole thing would have been a 'fait accompli' before anyone had time to wonder what had happened. Hitler, and Germany were done for in 1938. It took only five years to defeat them. If they hadn't attacked the U.S., they might have survived a lot longer, but no way was the U.S. going to ally with a Nazi regime or a Mussolini, and certainly not after they unleashed the wolf packs on international shipping, plus we were getting disturbing reports for the East and in parts of western Europe on the Nazi agendas and mass murders.

I do think it was mistake to rescue the Soviets; we should have let them fall; the Nazis couldn't have made any advantage out of the Eastern conquests, old factories, old mining equipment, poor railroads, rampant alcoholism and sociopathy among the natives, etc. The oil fields would have been useful, of course, but we could have wrecked those from Iran and Turkey. No way the German Army was nearly large enough to defend such a large area successfully, plus North Africa. People forget the German armies still moved mostly by donkey and wagons.
