We’re having a discussion and debate about voting in America. I live in a city where a large population of refugees and they openly say they hate America.. And yes, we CAN amend the US Constitution. But it is not easily done. Nor should it be. The US Constitution is the basis and bedrock of our great nation. Changing it requires more than just a majority in a local vote.

First off, who should get to vote? Early in this country's history only free white landowners were allowed the privilege of voting. The reason was, only whites could become citizens AND the people who founded our Republic believed that if you were a taxpaying landowner you had some skin in the game (something to lose) and, consequently, as heads of the house and having something to lose, they should be the ones who had a privilege to vote. This probably makes sense, even in today's world, if widows who continued to work the land after their husband's death could cast their late husband's vote.
Why should people who do not own land or businesses be able to reach into the pockets of landowners and business to tell them how to spend the money they earned? Why should an apartment dweller be able to reach into the hands of a homeowner and have the homeowner held responsible for educating the apartment dweller's children? So, how do you feel about that kind of America?

I'm only recounting history as it happened. I was born and grew up here, but just not in the time period of 1620 through 1868. If you want to fix what is wrong with America, I'd say you took the first step by admitting it is an American problem. Change your culture and you fix the problems. Look at this from my point:
In the next room over from my office is a bedroom. In that bedroom is a white piece of shit that isn't worth a damn. It's about 2:30 pm and I've been to the grocery store, filed some papers in court, took care of some business to make a few dollars and have posted here a couple of times. That mofo will not get out of bed until about 4 pm. at which time"mommy" will be here and he can tell her what he wants to eat. In his waking hours this POS will be smoking cigarettes and weed, running around with a hairdo that resembles one of the old Mel Gibson Road Warrior movies. He will be wearing a Misfits t shirt or one of Marilyn Manson. He will stay up, going out with friends to play with his guitar. He can't pass a drug test; he's rarely held a job for more than a few weeks, and even his car was given to him by mommy. He has no high school education, no job skills, no interpersonal skills, and you cannot have a serious conversation with him without him coming unhinged. slamming shit around and storming out the door like a spoiled brat.
He is not an anomaly. He is the typical white male that happens to be in his 20s to 30s. Nobody is going to hire these people for any meaningful job. They don't deserve it.
