SCOTUS allows Trump to finish dismantling the Department of Education

Well, that guarantees 99% of the teachers' and their families' vote next time to non-MAGA candidates.
They did that last time. Next time they are going to need jobs they can keep based on merit. So in the end due to their own survival they are going to have to vote MAGA.

Driving the news: Powell has asked Fed IG Michael Horowitz to review the costs of the building and any other related matters Horowitz deems appropriate, the source said.

The IG's office has reviewed the long-planned project before, but this review is meant to be a fresh look at a time of heightened scrutiny.
White House officials and congressional allies have accused the Fed of building an excessively luxurious campus at its longtime headquarters building, and another historic building next door.

The Federal Reserve head is renovating the Federal Reserve building for Two and a Half billion dollars. Imagine the globalist communications and security modernized through technologies in it.

Oh, I'm sorry! I need to sit down for that level of bullshit! What is a small percentage? I have had classes where half of my students were on IEPs or 504 plans. Your ignorance of reality is laughable!
So the kids not on IEPs o 504 plans should be held back by those who are? How much better teacher would you be if you had a classroom of normal kids capable of learning much more quickly and effectively?

And before you go off on some tangent here that I don't know anything, I have substitute taught in the public schools, served on a school board, and have a lot of professional educators in my family including special needs teachers and college professors.

Okay CATO is a credible source but they are pure Libertarian (with a capital L) and they have been afflicted with TDS for awhile now. Their opinion, like so many opposing the BBB, looks at the worst case scenarios and draws the most extreme conclusions they can from them.

But the most effective and accurate economists are not swayed by either ideology or politics and look at all factors, not just the bare numbers that do not take into account ripple effects, changes in human behavior, or even the history in these things.

Michael Busler PhD and professor of economics does. And draws a very different conclusion: There are many others who agree with him.

When did I say it wasn't? My whole beef is the with the utter ignorance that people conjure up other arguments which are based on lies and misinformation. Your comments the small number of special ed students in the previous post is prime evidence that mostly you people are clueless!

Posters on this thread have ascribed functions to the Education Department that it has never had. They simply do not understand that education is run at the local school level, despite what the media tells you to believe.
Tell me oh genius, why is it that out of hundreds of school children when I was in school, only two or three would be special needs kids? Why are half of them special needs now?

And give me a good argument for why the half that aren't special needs should be held back by those who are?

Who said they were being held back?

That's not reality.

But you were never a teacher or administrator and took the courses and passed the tests necessary to be one? That is why you are ignorant.

Results From Grade 4
Reading
In the first set of analyses, all private schools were
compared to all public schools. The average private
school mean reading score was 14.7 points higher
than the average public school mean reading score,
corresponding to an effect size of .41 (the ratio of the
absolute value of the estimated difference to the stan-
dard deviation of the NAEP fourth-grade reading score
distribution). After adjusting for selected student char-
acteristics, the difference in means was near zero and
not significant.

When did you go to school? There was no such thing as special education when I graduated from high school and the Education Department didn't exist.

They aren't. I taught gifted students and special ed students.

No there was no special education when I went to school either. The parents with special needs kids would hire tutors or other help for them and often got help to do that. They were not put in with the general school population.

The vast majority of students in the general population would advance in grades easily. The very few who could not, were held back for a year and that turned out to be beneficial for them. They might not have been able or were unwilling to progress with their classmates, but they did get the coursework and had honestly earned. passing grades when they graduated. It was a very rare student who failed to graduate.

I noticed you changed the subject and didn't answer my question.

How many years were you a teacher? never. Your opinion matters not.
Yeah, I was a math teacher for several years. I sat through more than one worthless mandatory seminar paid for by our county schools, These educated idiots put them on. One of them was a mother-son tandem. Both were weird as three dollar bills. We just sat there shaking our heads at the inept advice of people who had never set foot in a classroom. And this was before most of the PC garbage. As I said, leftwingers specialize in worthless nonsense, and nowhere is there more of that than in the education field. I got out of it and made some money. Best decision of my life.

Oddly enough, now that I have achieved some things, I would be better than ever as a teacher. I've thought about going back and teaching not just math, but HOW to live.

Uh, it guarantees nothing. Teachers will still be around and have more freedom to teach.

You clearly got screwed on your education.

If you can read and comprehend this----ask for your money back.

No, they didn't. The kids were left to get along by themselves. There was a ready supply of village idiots and cripples.

I must have missed your question. I thought I answered them all. Looking back at your post I didn't see one.

Then you were not a certified math teacher. Where did you teach, some Catholic school?
