If they are Marxists they are very concerned ( don’t give Marxists Shade )BS. Try to stay on topic. College professors have nothing to do with the Education Department.
You don't like him anymore?Ah Musk is the leftwing looney's hero again. Go figure.
That was the case when Florida went to charter schools back in the early 2000s.The charter school in our adjoining town, they had to shut it down the people were swindling the funds. Hilarious.
It won't2.9 needs to come down to 1.5
No. The unions are for Dems because increased salaries mean they can increase membership dues. Teachers don't vote the way the unions say, ever! The teachers? The public skool teachers are solid for the Dems. Won't be many of them left after a while.
I had a thought! They can become capitalists and compete with the charter schools for students. What a concept.
In fiscal year 2022, the federal government spent roughly $271 billion to compensate those civilian employees. About 60 percent of that total was spent on civilian personnel working in the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Homeland Security2.9 needs to come down to 1.5
But even if it did...In fiscal year 2022, the federal government spent roughly $271 billion to compensate those civilian employees. Yes, and you forget what it was like for kids with physical and learning disabilities. They didn't attend school at all. Poor and minority kids got little to no education at all because their schools were underfunded and their teachers were unqualified. The grass is greener only on your side of the fence back then.Maybe. Teachers are paid pretty well now. That was not the case when I was in school, but the teachers were great, andI received a world class education from them.
While we were immersed in religious traditions, history, political theory etc. etc. etc. I could not tell you the religious beliefs or political beliefs of a single one of my teachers. But those teachers dressed like professionals, conducted themselves as professionals, and required appropriate manners, protocol, behavior from all us students. And they were among the most respected and supported members of our community.
There was no Department of Education then. The best education was governed and funded locally.
I think we will do just fine without one now while saving the $90 billion it was mostly wasting. Any necessary/essential functions can be easily handled by other departments of government.
You wouldn't last until lunchtime! For the most part they are glorified babysitters
But who said that they should work for free?
If you fired every federal employee you might save $271 billionIn fiscal year 2022, the federal government spent roughly $271 billion to compensate those civilian employees. About 60 percent of that total was spent on civilian personnel working in the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Homeland Security
I was working for AT&T when I became a teacher. I was poorly paid as a new teacher but that was about twice what I made for AT&T.The system has made them bad.
It doesn't help that most teaches could never make a living in the private sector.
2.9 needs to come down to 1.5
Unless they are fully GTG with Marxism / Collectivism / Socialism / SJW ideals …No. The unions are for Dems because increased salaries mean they can increase membership dues. Teachers don't vote the way the unions say, ever!
By cutting all 2.9 million you might save $271 billion2.9 needs to come down to 1.5
The supreme court in its infinite stupididty just created a loophole
If state departments create a policy and then the president does not like. He just fires mostly everyone in the department.
Thus they cannot do their job as they do not have the manpower
So Americans lost their jobs and Republicans are applauding it.
Then again, there would be unintended costs of firing so many people. Lawsuits. Automation. Infrastructure problems.2.9 needs to come down to 1.5
Shouldn’t education belong to both the states and the feds… the feds after all can provide more support than some states can provide on their own.
