Schumer Shutdown Question

When do you suppose Trump should take the training wheels off of his presidency and start taking responsibility for his failures instead of blaming them all on Biden?
Biden's disaster caused US families to lose $11,400 in buying power, that is a big hit to family budgets, a massive failure.

After Trump's policies take effect and have had time to work, such as more fossil fuels, building factories here, building more powerplants here, deporting criminals, making city streets safer, fixing the healthcare mess, fixing the Budget, and getting AI research centers up and running the US will be back on track.

Biden had 75% wrong-track numbers, so know who the failure was.

...a smouldering pile of shit
The ACA always was a "smouldering pile of shit", created by the democrats, with the subsidy sunset by the democrats.
If Trump and the Republicans fix the ACA they should rename it Trumpcare.

They have less than 36 hours to fix it.

Democrats are holding SNAP hostage. They are demanding ACA subsidies for greedy insurance company executives.
How do you feel about millions of folks suddenly losing healthcare coverage?

Regardless of whether your principle reaction as a partisan is to blame someone else, how do you suggest they deal with their plight if they can no longer afford coverage?

Donald Trump and Republicans assured us back in 2016 that they had a "better" plan.
Now they have 56 hrs. and 45 minutes to produce that plan and put it in action to save millions of Americans, many their own voters, from losing their access to healthcare.
If these Republicans can't produce then they own this problem.

You can pleasure yourself with incivility if you need to, but it is within the purview of Republicans to respect the majority support for continuing to allow millions of Americans to afford and keep their healthcare coverage.
Nope, sorry. You are talking about the budget process. That's over. A CR is simply there to fund programs already debated, voted on, and passed into law.

You want new spending on illegals, fight for it when budget negotiations take place.

Republicans have not acknowledged that they will represent the position of most Americans regarding the continuation of ACA supports.
Why does Barrycare need more "enhanced subsidies" (tax dollars) to make it affordable?

Did Barry lie to us?

Your definition of "the will of the People" as being frozen in time on November 5, 2024, and the 49.8% who voted for Trump as having absolute power over the 48.2% who voted for his principle opponent until th next election. That is not how it works.

The 51.9% who currently disapprove of Trump do not cede all their rights as Americans to the 44.9% who approve of him.

At present, a significant majority of Americans clearly want ACA premium subsidies continued, Republicans included, and Republicans presently have the power to respect the American People, including their own constituents.

That is how it works, because Congress and the President have two years and then the will of the people will speak again.
Republicans have not acknowledged that they will represent the position of most Americans regarding the continuation of ACA supports.
They are under no obligation to do so. As Obama told Republicans, you can ride in the back of the bus.

In 2023 most Americans did not think Affirmative Action was needed in college and Democrats didn’t change the law, why? The majority didn’t want it.

A CR isn't the place for these theatrics, Simp.

Summary

The program activities of most federal agencies are generally funded on an annual basis through the enactment of regular appropriations acts. When those annual appropriations acts are not enacted by the beginning of the fiscal year (October 1), one or more continuing appropriations acts (commonly known as continuing resolutions or CRs) may be enacted to provide temporary funding to continue certain programs and activities until action on the regular appropriations acts is completed.

There are six main features of CRs.

First, CRs have provided funding for certain activities (coverage), which are typically specified with reference to the prior fiscal year's appropriations acts.

Second, CRs provide budget authority for a specified duration of time. This duration may be as short as a single day or as long as the remainder of the fiscal year.

Third, in recent practice, CRs have typically provided funds based on an overall funding rate rather than in specified amounts.

Fourth, the use of budget authority provided in the CR has been prohibited for new activities not funded in the previous fiscal year.

Fifth, the duration and amount of funds in the CR, and purposes for which they may be used for specified activities, may be adjusted through anomalies.

Sixth, legislative provisions—which create, amend, or extend other laws—have been included in some instances.

Senator John McCain recognized that the blowhard had no alternative plan then.

Neither the blowhard nor his lickspittles are offering one now

Republicans have been trying to repeal the ACA (based upon"RomneyCare"(2006)) since it first provided healthcare coverage to millions of Americans in 2010.

One might reasonably expect them to have concocted an alternative plan by now, but their position remains, "Let's just kill it, and then we'll figure something out."

"Just trust us!" doesn't cut it.

Don't buy insurance.
