NATO doesnt want war with Russia because they presume it will draw in the Axis. Russia doesnt want war with NATO as Russia would lose and to start such a war would be a death sentence. There is a reason the West wont allow long range missiles to be sent to Ukraine. Im not entirely sure I agree with handcuffing Ukraine, after all, they are at war. I am not privy to the intelligence though obviously so clearly Western nations have decided based on some determination. If I were to start negotiations with Russia I might start with some realities of the break Russia has been given with Ukraine not having long range missiles..

Because those long range missiles would have nothing to do with those clowns in Ukraine, they couldn't be launched without NATO tech and sattelites, so we are talking about a NATO attack on Russia, and tell me if they were launched Russia wouldn't assume they are nuclear armed, not so simple is it? and yet the lunatics in Washington and their vassals seem willing to play that game.
