US to withdraw from NATO?

I am talking about present day, but since you bring up WWII, France was toast without the US.

Present day example of idealism is the amount of money as a percent of GDP that these countries were contributing to their OWN defense prior to Trump putting the hammer down. They are idealistic and naive enough to believe that climate change is more of a threat to them than Russia. Trump had to warn Merckel not to be so dependent on Russian oil. She didn't listen and he imposed sanctions that slowed down the construction of Nordstream 2 to save Germany from being dependant on Russian oil. Dumb Biden removed the sanctions and what do you know, Russia attacks Ukraine as they no longer had to worry about their oil flowing through Ukraine to Russia. The pipeline was never used, but Germany quickly realized that going "green" so quickly and being fully reliant on Russian oil was a bad combination. In short, they had to learn the hard way.
You are horribly confused. Nordstream 2 was a gas pipeline, not oil. Oil does not flow through Ukraine to Russia. You have everything backwards here.

It was in your back yard not America’s
Bosnia/Serbia was a UN mission - so it doesn't matter where it takes place.
You should have handled it without our help
As for Serbia/Kosovo, 1999 NATO has to uniformly agree if they go into action - guess who run's that show, guess who advocated for it? the 2nd strongest supporter was Germany. (I was with KFOR at the time) It didn't pass the UNSC since Russia and China blocked the resolution. Therefore it was factually an illegal war.

Libya was also advocated for by the USA and was implemented via a UNSC resolution - NATO refused and as such it became a coalition of volunteers which if IIRC was comprised of combatants USA/France/Italy/Canada/UK and Turkey. Whilst others only took part in ensuring the sanctions, and arms embargo against Libya, which also included non-NATO members like Qatar and the UAE.

Who will pay for all the cocaine and prostitutes if we withdraw from NATO?
The "night-birds" we will send back to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. The cocaine we will horde and snort our-self, because once the US closes it's bases in Europe, prices for cocaine are going to go up significantly.

Any other major significant problems that plague you?

Seems like NATO members should be paying us then.
Keep dreaming, we Europeans payed more then enough in lives and $$ for YOUR wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. And now we Europeans bear the brunt of price increases across the board, for your and your Zionist pals illegal war against Iran.

And if you touch Greenland or Canada - the USA will be out of NATO anyway.
We could then call it OTAN - Opposing TACO's American Nepotism.

That was the prevailing attitude in those days

But at least in America there is little respect for the UN today

When lib globalists try using the mantel of the UN they just get laughter

And the fact remains that that conflict was in your back yard not ours

If it had been left up to the toothless Euro’s / UN the Serbs would have won easily

And its even more true today due to the weakness of NATO minus the US

NATO, by Article 5 must defend us if we are attacked

They don’t need to join if we attack someone else
No one asked them to attack. We just wanted to use one of the many bases that we fund.

I cannot think of anything that Putin would like more than to see the US withdraw from NATO. Having achieved nothing but chaos with his vastly unpopular war in Iran, one we started, Trump is once again doing the bidding of his KBG master in the Kremlin.

When it comes down to it, what good is NATO? Does NATO defend us? No. We defend them. We pay the most dues and we provide most of the personnel and equipment. What does NATO do for us? Nothing.

NATO stabilizes Western Europe and keeps Russia in check.

Trump is weakening the NATO alliance, something Putin has always dreamed about

Doesn't change the fact that WE defend NATO, they do not defend us. And, they make us pay for most of their defense and provide most of the personnel and equipment.

We are the ones who choose to spend 40 cents of every defense dollar on earth.

Europe provides those remote defense bases, airfields and naval ports we need to extend our power

LOL. Except when we need to use those to extend our power in the Middle East.

Problem is when we act unilaterally and without concern of the impact on our allies

Trump calls the shots then he has to deal with the consequences

Ah, I see what you're saying now. You're saying that we should leave NATO.
