I understand. Just saying I are cheap so can they. I eat dirt cheap at times cause it is all I can afford. I dont qualify for SNAP.

As long as people can eat great on SNAP they wont need to look for a job so they can eat better tasting foods

Welfare beneficiaries will get half their monthly SNAP benefit for November. Let’s see how, with responsible choices, they can stretch that out. For purposes of this exercise, let’s say it’s a single mother with two little kids, who normally gets $750 a month. So…..how can she stretch the $375 for this month?

1) Four packages of chicken (16 main meals) at $35

For one person, not three.

2) Two pounds of ground beef (8 mains) @ $15

For one person, not three.

3) Box of spaghetti and sauce (4 mains) @ $5

For one person. Not three.

4) 3 bags of frozen veggies @ $10

Barely enough for one person. Not three.

This is nowhere near enough of the necessary fruits and vegetables for a month for one person, much less three.

Also, canned fruit is all sugar. Try pricing a month's worth of real fruit, and see where that gets you. Especially since Trump's tariffs are driving up the cost of produce.

I would submit you are not far off, and the reason has nothing to do with SNAP, the ACA or anything else.

The nationwide air travel system is breaking down. We are having normal days of 10,000 flights being cancelled or delayed now. In three weeks the Thanksgiving Holiday occurs and absolute millions will be attempting to fly. Screwing that up is a career ending event for both Congress and the Executive. They will need a week to get operations back up to speed.

So I figure next week.

Lunches: $42

All basic meals: $162

Add in another $40 for pudding snacks, jello, bags of chips, etc., etc.

One month is 90 balanced meals for three people.
