The GOP supports the Constitution if and only if the interpretation of the Constituion fits into their general ideology. When the Supreme Court or anyone offers a perspective which does not the GOP whines and wants to modify/amend it
The GOP supports limited, less intrusive government in some cases and larger more intrusive government in others. See Homeland Security and the 'Patriot Act' for examples.
The GOP wants serious budget cuts to programs and policies of their choosing; on matters which meet the litmus test for conservative causes no cost-benefit analysis is allowed.
The GOP cares not that Americans work their asses off; notice that such deductions as union dues, health insurance and other benefits to the masses are eliminated yet they support tax policy which allows (for example) General Electric to pay no taxes and the oil cartel to recieve 'welfare'.
The GOP supports the instituion of marriage by denying that right to gay and lesbian couples. Curious at best. How does denying this right to some support this right for others?
Policy supported by the GOP, in particular the fringe conservatives (Neo-Cons) put and puts America at greater risk. The cost of blood and treasure by the Vietnam and Iraq Wars, as well as the cost equal to the rest of the worlds nation to maintain our military is an absurdity.
The GOP supports the preservation of the Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the few, not the many. Justice is no longer blind to the cut of a man's clothes, the color of his/her skin, their religious/political beliefs or sexual identity.
The GOP very well supports and environment for the wealthy to maintain and increase their personal wealth no matter the cost to the physical environment or the general economy. Why do workers pay income tax and General Electric does not? Why does the oil cartel continue to recieve 'welfare'?
Avatar is as usual blind to the reality of life in America in this second decade of the Twenty-First Century.
