Republicans are mostly to blame for our debt

I'm confused. Was Trump the one that wrote this last Covid Relief spending bill?

.
What does that matter?

Between the Covid Relief and Omnibus bill the spending is another approximately 2.2 trillion dollars. My question is whether Trump wrote these budgets or was forced to sign given how Congress has ignored his requests to focus spending On Americans?

.
Trump wanted more.

He wanted more money to go to Americans and to cut much of the additional spending that wasn't deemed essential.

.
He was full of shit. All that additional spending was in his own budget. He was playing games.
Your the one who is full of shit

Now that we are closing out another failed republican president it seems like a good time to bring up debt since repubs will no doubt put there fiscally responsible hats back on for us to laugh at. It's clear big debt started with Reagan, the guy tripled the debt. We almost had it under control under Clinton, then Bush messed that up completely. Then Obama inherited the Bush mess and spent a lot, but deficits generally came down after the mess was fixed. Now Trump inherited a strong economy and still increased debt every single year. Last year pre pandemic he managed a trillion dollar deficit during a strong economy, this year he will set a new record by a lot.

Over and over and over republicans support the same policy of cut taxes, increase military spending, and drastically increase debt. And that is what has happened every time they have done it. Reagan did it, Bush did it, and now Trump did it. And repubs stupidly believe the square peg is going to fit the round hole this time.... or are they all that stupid? Many certainly are, but others clearly love the freebies. Heck better than a freebie, trumpers got their military spending and a tax cut! Government is great!

So for the last 40 years we have gotten more and more government and thanks to repubs it costs tax payers less and less. That is a formula for increasing government if I have ever seen one. So laugh whenever a repub claims to be for fiscal responsibility, their policy has clearly lead the way for more and more debt.
History and politics not strong with you is it cum breath?
And yet you can’t deny any of the facts.

Conditions change and priorities change. Right now the priority is Americans.

.
He changed nothing. You fall for all his cons?

No, BOTH parties are guilty, but it was the Democrats who created the Entitlement spending problem, that generates around 70% of the budget and growing over time.

The funny (if predictable) thing is that I'm ALREADY seeing the Trumpsters complain about "Biden's spending".

This, after Trump made Keynes look like Ron freakin' Paul and took credit for the actions of the Fed.

They're not to be taken seriously.

The left is hypocritical in the exact same way though. Very few people have consistent outrage in politics. It's all theater.

It is repubs who continually ad spending and cut taxes. Nobody will care about spending till taxes increase. The tax cuts make nobody care.

There is a big difference. Only one increases spending AND gives a tax cut.
So only one party feels bad about abusing their power while the other abuses their power AND steals more of the fruits of your labor.
I think you just turned me into a Republican!
You are pro debt. And yes that is a republican. Completely irresponsible, just put it on the credit card.
Pro debt? I am anti central government.
Try again

Sure. The two ends of the spectrum can be comically similar in their behaviors.

Certainly they share equal blame.

It is unlikely the dems could keep pushing spending if tax increases came with them. The repub tax cuts fuel more spending from both sides.

You going to ignore the built in spending increase of entitlement programs that Democrats by themselves created?

Democrats also add spending, who do you think started the massive COVID-19 spending bills in the house?

Your stupid partisanship bullshit needs to stop.

You clearly stated your support for irresponsible spending. As long as we get tax cuts the government will grow.

I've already heard some of the tRumplings bitching about what Joe Biden is gonna do to the deficit.

You've just gotta laugh.

both parties add to the debt

it's a nonexistent ethical stance to say that one party is better because they accumulated a little less debt than the other.

And as we all know ( well maybe you don't) democrats only care about debt when republicans are in office and vice versa
Only one party adds spending and cuts taxes. That is the worst. People won’t care about spending till taxes increase.

it's not going to matter.

Even democrats who raise taxes still add to the debt

Reagan passed the biggest peace time tax increases in history and he still raised the debt.

No one cares about the debt stop kidding yourself

You rube.

Had you even noticed that the only people in government who ever seem to care about spending are those out of power?

That's why the Dims blew a gasket when Trump wanted a few billion for a wall they hated saying it was too expensive, and why they stopped stimulus money to go out before the election so that Trump would lose. But now that Trump has lost, now the Dims want to pass the same stimulus they originally stopped and now why the GOP has a trouble with spending now.

Now go back under your partisan rock like the dolt you are cuz neither party has really ever given a damn.

And as taxes increase people would care about the debt. Tax cuts fuel spending as tax payers have no reason to care.
