Republican senators block extension to ACA subsidies

Yes, the deletion of the mandate eliminated the one, main provision to make health insurance cheaper.

You probably didn't know the mandate was actually their idea. Newsmax does not show you things like this.
Requiring me to pay for your mandated healthcare in no way makes that healthcare cheaper.

Subsidizing insurance companies to provide you with healthcare that you were required to have in no way made that healthcare cheaper.

How poetically non-sensical.

Being part of a society means you sometimes use the fruits of your labor to better society as a whole.

You do it routinely for things like roads, fire departments, common defense, education, law enforcement, etc.etc.

The fact that you seem to believe that you can have the benefits of a society without needing to contribute to it is simply wrong.

In most countries healthcare is simply another one of those things that society as a whole recognizes as essential to its wellbeing.
You can make that argument about anything - just as the Marxists and Communists always do.

You are going to take money from other people by force, use force to ensure Doctor participation and compliance, then predictably create excessive demand which overwhelms the system, and in your mind will justify rationing, which will drive down access and create black markets, which will of course will be met with more government force, yada, yada, on and on...

I just described every socialist/communist HC scheme in Europe, Russia, etc.

I have family who live in Sweden - my brother in-law is a years long victim of that disaster. We send them money and clothes every year.

You know nothing of governmental systems or history. Without such knowledge it is irresponsible of you to vote for things you don't understand.

You're wrong as those limits were never passed until March of 2010 the same day obamacare was signed.
In 1996, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was passed, providing some protection for individuals with pre-existing conditions. HIPAA required group health plans to provide coverage to individuals with pre-existing conditions if they had been continuously insured for a certain period of time.

In 1996, I worked for the employee benefits section of AT&T. This later applied to me long before ObamaCare as in 1996 I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

Shut up stupid, it's about insurance, not Healthcare. You say the dumbest things.

And yes , making the invicibles buy in would indeed make your insurance cheaper.

Tell,us how you think insurance works.
You don't know? Shocking!

Still got that MAGA bug in your ass because Obama instituded that plan, right bedwetter?

I think you are the one who should shut up when you are so unethical and dishonest that you would edit my post to change the context to something you think you can intelligently attack. Most especially when you can make no legitimate argument that government mandates make anything cheaper more than possibly very short term. That's pretty dumb.

Why had the Dims previously agreed to the demise of the subsidies by a date certain, I wonder?

Today Republicans blocked the extension of subsidies to help people pay for health care premiums.

The party with majorities in every branch of government continues to fight against affordability:
They only seem to believe in making the rich wealthier no matter what the cost to the rest of US. Maybe they believe it's only 20 million Americans. But what they forget those 20 million have family and friends who account for hundreds of millions in America. We will not forget.

Numbnuts Trump is ranting that he wants to send people cash so they can in his words, "buy their own healthcare". Just where the hell does that idiot nodding off nitwit think people are going to go to "buy their own healthcare"?

As usual, Trump has no clue how the insurance marketplace works so he blows smoke up your MAGA asses & hope that it sticks. Which it always does with you morons.
Translation...you were triggered when I reminded you Obama and Democrats OWN 100% of Obamacare. Tissue? :itsok:

The republicans are shooting themselves in the foot again. More than half of the ACA healthcare recipients live in republican states.

Remember how 10 years ago Uncle Fester Trump raaaaanted & raved about a plan he had which would end Obama Care & replace it with somethimg better, at less cost & covering everyone? But he never pulled that plan out of his ass. How come? :dunno:

How'd that work out, Cletus?

Why did you not say group plans in the first place? On most group plans I believe under 100 there was never any health questions in some states.

I do believe the thread was about under 65 individual plans and they did not receive that protection until March 2010.

You made the blanket statement. You should be more careful.

Your crybaby word salad isn't going to delete your dumb mistake.
