Replacing Teachers

The biggest problem is the quality of the students.
You may be right, I often interview candidates for junior to senior level software development positions (mostly from Europe), and I can't help but notice that the average level of junior developers (recent graduates) is lower now than it was 10-15 years ago.

A friend of mine teaches math at Bismarck and complains that students solve problems using ChatGPT, the problem isn't that AI is used specifically to solve problems, but that students aren't training their brains to solve problems on its own.

Classrooms are already moving away from personal instruction by teachers. They may try to assist individual students, but they often do not have sufficient subject matter knowledge to effectively present the material to be learned.
I suppose you have some sort of expertise to back these claims up, right?

Wrong.

You think you are the only person who was a kid once? I asked plenty of questions.
That's the way it was in my K-12 experience. Teachers would always ask, "Are there any questions?", followed by silence from the class. Personally, I had no idea of what questions to ask.

It was like the old saying, "The answers? Hell, I don't even know the questions."

...

Again, that's on you.

Are teachers worried long-term about AI robots replacing them?

Do we need to teach children basic math? Of course. Absolutely. 100%.

Should we be concerned that children are leveraging tools to be super efficient, effective, and accurate? No. That's the name of the game. That's exactly what every employer wants.

Have people forgotten Covid already?
