Educators face backlash, firings after posts lament Trump surviving WHCA dinner shooting

Seeing what you people did our once-great education system is the reason why.

Exposing that Charter Schools are Failures.

Preparatory Charter School is a public school, but with a twist—it’s a charter school.

That means:

  • It’s publicly funded (free to attend, no tuition)
  • It operates independently of the traditional school district
  • It often has its own curriculum focus, policies, and admissions process (sometimes a lottery if there are more applicants than spots)

Education professionals from across the country are facing backlash after posting reactions online voicing disappointment that President Donald Trump was not killed in the Saturday shooting during the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

"Man, there's been a few creators on here saying that, like Friday or yesterday could have been the day, and then I wake up to that news, but not that news," a teacher for BrightPath identified as Corrine Baum said in the video. "We're going to have to pay really close attention to what they're trying to actually distract us from."

In a Monday statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for BrightPath, an early learning and childcare provider in Cincinnati, said that Baum had been fired.

"Our organization does not tolerate and explicitly condemns any calls for violence," the spokesperson said. "The comments made online by this individual are deeply inconsistent with our values. The individual in question has been terminated."

Looks like a bunch of them are in hot water due to their on-line comments.

Ha! You might have the right to run your yap but that does not mean your employer has to keep you on.

Teachers should be able to post political opinions online of course, but this goes well beyond political opinions and is not appropriate at all. They should be disciplined, if not fired.

They are openly wanting the death of the President of the United States.

They shouldnt be able to even teach Guro Scouts

If people lose their jobs for saying mean things about politicians than America will soon follow Europe and you will decline consistently and reliably. History has proven this.
There is no legal way to stop that from happening, and if I was an employer whose business catered to one side of the aisle or the other, I would stand to lose a lot of business if one of my employees identified him/herself as working for me and was publicly trashing a politician popular with a large portion of my customer base.

Case in point, there is an American BBQ restaurant called Mission BBQ that is very patriotic, plays the national anthem at lunch time every day, and caters to military and ex-military personnel. Should one of their employees take to social media, identify him/herself as a Mission BBQ employee and trash a popular pro-military president, they could face a boycott by outraged patrons. That employee would lose that job.

Another case in point, Starbucks is a famously left leaning coffee joint. Should one of the employees in a New York Starbucks take to social media, identify him/herself as a Starbucks employee and start trashing Mamdani, that employee would lose their job.

There is no 1st Amendment protection in those cases. An employer cannot be forced to keep on staff an employee that causes them to lose money and reputation.
