Replacing Teachers

It set kids back by years. It resulted in an explosion of mental/social health problems for children. It set back the most those kids who could afford it the least. I made a good chunk of change private tutoring evenings during Covid because families with money knew it was no way to run a railroad.
"Self-motivated" means Mom and/or Dad is named "$elf."

I don't see why the current utility of the objective case of the relative pronoun should be called into question.

If its so great then you should go into it. Envy is not admirable.
Envy is not really in play here. I resent having my pocket picked by an institution (teachers' union) with no accountability and explosive power. It doesn't have to be this bad. Collective bargaining has no rational place in the public sector.

Homeschooling = the ultimate in self-selection. More power to them. Remote learning = disaster. Failed experiment.

Greedy teach unions are terrified over the mere thought of the loss of money, power, and ability to dumb down the future electorate.

The data from homeschooled children is off the carts. They outperform their public-schooled counterparts in every metric available. And by a lot.

Do you pay union dues to the teachers union? If not, then you should STFU. It's not your money! They are not picking your pocket!

Most teachers' unions do not have the power to strike, therefore they have no power over collective bargaining which most of the time deals with working conditions and not salary. If the district says you get 20 minutes for a duty-free lunch, wouldn't you want to negotiate that to at least 25?

It is amazing how ignorant of reality some of you people are regarding education.

Teachers' unions are not funded by the taxpayer, they have little power except that granted to them by liberal school boards, and they have little impact on curriculum. You are just looking for someone easy to blame because of your ignorance.

Your data on homeschool data is suspect. Do you have data on every homeschooled child in the nation? No. Are homeschooled children required to take the same and every test that public school students take? No. That's just more ignorance on your part and the desire by the homeschooling industry to glam up their sales pitch.

I have to give you props for using the correct form of "a lot". Most people say "alot".
