No. If you’re scheduled for 40 hours an week and If you work 41 hours, you’re paid for 41.5. The entire 1.5 was supposed to be tax free--aka “no tax on overtime”. Instead, you’re just getting tax relief on 0.5 hours of pay, not the full 1.5 that you’re paid.

Yes, that is exactly what it means. You don’t pay taxes on the overtime portion of your pay. That would be the 1/2 per hour that is added to your base rate. It isn’t Trump’s fault that Democrats are too stupid to get it.
