The Oscars Lost Almost 10% Viewership This Year

I'm bitter? I could care less about the Oscars.

No, the money flowing through entertainment is more than ever but the actual quality of what we are getting is the absolute pits.
There is a lot more choices because it is so easy to publish something now vs starting a multimillion dollar project in the past. HOWEVER, there is very spectacular art now you just have a lot of options from amazing to good to bad to totally commercial. The Oscar movies this year were really good as a group, for instance. If you cant find art... you arent looking.
I'm conservative and an artist. I studied at an art institute. If you don't find a lot of conservative art in the mainstream, that is only because leftists quash it, drive it out, and conservatives in the art field hide their conservatism so to get into and succeed in the field otherwise, leftists would doxx them.
Come on. People eat chick fila cuz its good fast food. They dont care about its politics. Right wingers love them some rock music and they are all liberal musicians. Artistry transcends.
No, the shit really was great when I was a kid. The late 60s and early 70s saw the middle class with a higher standard of living than ever because the dollar had much more buying power, plus things were relatively unregulated.
The reason you like the terrible music of the 70's (admittedly my opinion) is cuz you were a kid when you heard it, experiencing kid stuff and that is why you like it. Any era that came up with Disco cant be credited with doing anything better, lol.

You draw right? I think I remember seeing your link on here. Keep arting. World needs as much as it can get.

I went to regular theater a couple of months ago, first time since Amadeus came out. They were charging more for some crappy popcorn than the ticket cost, and the same for a drink. Ridiculous. Never going back. Most of the stuff that is any good ends up on free TV sooner or later anyway. Most of the rest of it disappears.

I had thought about going to see Formula1, but somebody who saw it said it was just 10 minutes of Brad Pitt acting like an asshole for every 20 seconds of race footage, so I didn't go.
Not sure what you are seeing. Hamnet was incredible in the theater this year. Marvel movies are always great in the theater. If you didnt see Maverick in a theather you should punch yourself. Movie theaters are great for immersion. I have a subscription. $19 a month unlimited movies. Pack you a snack and bring a water bottle if you dont want to fork out money for a snack. People need to get paid so I dont mind the high snack prices.

All these are out or coming out this year. I can wait for Project Hail Mary. Was a great book.
