What's the problem? You can deduct overtime pay when you file your taxes. You still have to pay taxes on the regular time portion of your income. It may not be what you falsely thought but, it is incumbent upon your neighbor to deal with reality instead of what he THINKS is reality. He still gets a tax reduction so what's the problem? OR are you really telling us the truth or did you just make this up all on your own?
