Remember “No Tax on Overtime”?

Its a good thing when employers have to compete really really hard to find even entry level workers.
It’s a better thing when people have jobs and aren’t on government charity.

Besides, an unskilled job paying $20 an hour and overtime at $30 an hour is damn good for a high school grad with minimal skills.

$20 today means showing up. Not much should be expected production wise for that. No going above and beyond. Effort and wage are tied together.

$20 means doing the unskilled job you were hired for. If you don’t, you get fired.

Not if it’s every six months. Employers don’t want to train someone who will bail in a few months.
Well an employee doesnt have to let the emoyer know their plans. Another employers offers more then its out the door adap. No 2 weeks notice.

For what?
I just showed you that the tax exemption on OT only pertained to the “1/2” part of time time and a half

Oh. You didn’t read it.

You never do

Um that’s what the Ot pay is

I provided you a link to the law, from 1938 that says that

You literally have zero clue what OT is, and that’s not a surprise. Based on your politics it’s clear you have no clue what it means to work

So now you’re desperately trying to claim you understood all along that only 1/3 of OT pay (or 1/2 in the case of double time) will be tax exempt?

Well as long as you understand it now

You’re welcome

Yeah I knew what OT pay was. Your ignorance is not my fault or for that matter anyone else’s fault

15th post
what's the lie? you just highlighted there is no tax on overtime.

What did you think we were talking about?
Most people consider ALL the money earned in excess of their base 30 hours to be OT. Thy would expect “no tax on OT” to include all of that

It doesn’t. It only pertains to 1/3 of it (or 1/2 in the case of double time)

The US govt doesn’t and hasn’t since 1938. Folks that work for a living and get OT know that

Again the fact you and your dembot friends are uninformed and uneducated isn’t the rest of ours problems

No one knows what the **** you are saying

Just sit quietly in the corner

Apparently that was a lie.

If you make 20 an hour work an hour of overtime and get paid time-and-a-half ($30), you pay no tax on the “half”— the $10 but you still get taxed on the $20
