They are opposed to anything that makes things better for those who work for a living, support themselves and their families, and pay taxes. They want everyone dependent on the government.

If you make 20 an hour work an hour of overtime and get paid time-and-a-half ($30), you pay no tax on the “half”— the $10 but you still get taxed on the $20

That’s how it was understood when it passed, the overtime pay is not taxed straight always was included, just like with tips. The straight pay is taxed, the tips were not, up to a certain point.

On one hand, we have them complaining that only the overtime portion of the pay is tax-exempt ($10) rather than the entire pay ($30) - and that this was misleading and workers aren’t getting as much tax-free income as they expected.

On the other hand, we have libtard-controlled states announcing that the exempted overtime (on federal returns) must be added back (on state returns) in order for the entire amount to be taxed.
