What is your problem?
Let me give you another example: The Pope will become a Russian oligarch from Putins grace with 2.7 billion private assets - and he will tell you "Putin is the god of the world" - what could be your problem as a Christian with such a message? Let me tell you: You have not any problem at all. That's bullshit. No one knows the future - but a real infallibility of the Pope would bind the future into human categories.
The result of the doctrine "infallibility of the pope" had by the way also leaded to a splitting of the church. The Old Catholics split off. But because they were too small and unable to survive, they later joined the Church of England.
It is within the church absolutelly not any problem to discuss about the infallibility of the pope for example or any other theme and there is absolutelly not any need to split the church. We discuss about everything. "Has god a black beard or a white beard?" we could discuss. Nonsense? Not really if you are planning a theatre performance with a connection to the audience. Also no reason to split the church. ...
