No evolution is clearly described as there are two very different Adams in the beginning and at the end. Adam is made in Gods "likeness" that means potentially divine. He must grow and develop so he has the potential.
After Adam eats from the tree of knowledge of good and evil he acquires morals and has grown or evolved. God then states " Let us make the man" use of the royal we indicates a major accomplishment.
They didnt have word for it but they did know man can grow and improve thats evolution.
