Pope Leo XIV said "Trump is a test from God".

The Church spends their money to help others
Trumps spends the money to help himself and his rich friends
TRUMP!'s not controlling the money. Congress makes the spending bills and all can do is sign or veto them. Are you sure you know what you're talking about? And, again, the Catholic Church is extremely wealthy and could be doing much more to help the poor. Ironically, it is the poor who are very faithful givers to the Church in the first place.

how much money does it spend to help the "starving palestinians" Since the church
spends SO MUCH TO HELP OTHERS-----why is half of southern Africa and lots of
Southeast Asia STARVING yet the church remains fantastically wealthy

Neither you nor I know exactly what the church has done (or not done) with the money they have, or the problems that exist in doing what you say needs to be done.

Nonetheless and addressing your post, here is what AI state has been done:

AI Overview

Multiple church-affiliated and Christian organizations are actively providing aid to starving Palestinians in Gaza, often in partnership with local churches and aid groups.

The perception that the church has not helped likely stems from the severe limitations imposed on aid delivery, which prevent relief from meeting the overwhelming need.

Christian organizations providing aid. Numerous religious and faith-based groups are working to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Some of the most prominent ones include:
  • Catholic Relief Services (CRS): The official overseas relief and development agency of the U.S. Catholic Church, CRS has had a continuous presence in Gaza since 1984. They have provided food, shelter supplies, hygiene kits, and psychosocial support to millions affected by the conflict.
  • Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA): Founded by the Holy See, CNEWA has allocated millions in funds for humanitarian aid and has partnered with local churches to distribute food, medicine, and other essentials.
  • Caritas Internationalis: This worldwide Catholic charity network, which includes Caritas Jerusalem, delivers food, medical aid, and emergency supplies within Gaza.
  • Christian Aid: This organization has provided relief to Palestinian refugees since the 1950s and continues to work with local partners to deliver aid, including food, shelter, and sanitation.
  • World Vision: Active in the occupied Palestinian territory since 1975, World Vision provides emergency response kits, safe spaces for children, and psychosocial support.
  • Samaritan's Purse: This evangelical Christian organization has sent airlifts of relief supplies to the region and is working with local partners to provide aid.
  • Embrace the Middle East: This group supports local Christian partners in providing relief, including at Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
  • Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP): This coalition of U.S. churches and other organizations advocates for ending restrictions on humanitarian access to Gaza.
Barriers preventing more aid from reaching Palestinians
Church-affiliated aid organizations cite significant challenges that severely hinder their ability to deliver more aid to starving Palestinians.
  • Border restrictions: Israel has been criticized by aid groups for restricting the flow of aid into Gaza, allowing only a small fraction of what is needed to enter.
  • Security risks: Even after aid enters, convoys face major hurdles in getting supplies to those in need. Humanitarian agencies report that military permission to move trucks is often denied or impeded, and convoys are sometimes mobbed by desperate crowds or targeted by armed gangs.
  • Targeting of aid workers and sites: Several aid organizations have been targeted or had their facilities damaged. A strike on a church compound sheltering civilians killed an aid worker, and local church leaders have described conditions as a "death sentence" for vulnerable people.
  • Damage to infrastructure: A large portion of Gaza's essential civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, complicating relief efforts.
Statements from the Pope and church leaders
The head of the Catholic Church has repeatedly addressed the crisis.
  • Pope Francis: He has called for an end to the war, condemned attacks on civilians, and supported the release of hostages. In November 2024, he also suggested that the events in Gaza should be investigated to determine whether they constitute genocide.
  • U.S. Catholic Bishops: The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has organized special collections to support aid efforts by Catholic Relief Services and CNEWA.
  • World Council of Churches (WCC): In 2025, the WCC called for a permanent ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian access, issuing a statement that strongly denounced the conditions in Gaza.

BS. Here is proof that what you are saying is mostly untruths:

Oh and by the way, have you forgotten DOGE?

We are talking about Pope Leo XIV and not about Pope Francis
oh OK I will search. My sense of Francis REMAINS that he was COMPARITIVELY
non-responsive to the events inflicted on Israel--

seems to me that Pope Leo is more tentative in his remarks---more measured and
generally speakiing says nothing much

Let's see if we have that straight. I say two things that are factually true, that the Catholic Church is worth a lot of money and that Congress writes spending bills and the president can either sign them or veto them. You then claim that is not true, and for proof you offer a picture of a jumbo jet with words to the effect that TRUMP! is getting a gift from the Saudis, I guess thinking that somehow proves that he does the spending for the country. Is that about the size of it?

The Catholic church being worth a lot of money is not bad. If the weren’t worth a lot of money they would not be able to do the Charity work they do. In addition, they are worth a lot of money because they are supported by a lot of people who are rich, that do want to help the church do the Charity that they do. Simply dpeaking, it is not bad (or corrupt) that they have the money they do have. Having money is NOT a Bad thing. Using it for the wrong reasons, is!

As far as they do have plane is concerned, that was to show you that Congess does not have the power you say they have. The truth is that Trump is NOT YET the dictador he wants to be. Nonetheless, the plane (and other things he has done this year) show him to be “in his way there”

And the Saudis gifting the US with a new Air Force One is not the president spending taxpayer money. That was your complaint, after all.

Sure they do. The president can't write a spending bill and sign it into law by himself. Only Congress can write spending bills that become law if the president signs them.

So, you're complaining about something that hasn't happened and will not happen. Got it.

All I can say in answer to your post is that since 1981, I have dedicared my life to predicting what is to come, so I can be prepared to desl with it. My predicting the futuro has not always been right, but I have been right a lot more times than wrong. Being prepared is better than not. When wrong, it has not affected me negatively very much, but when I have been right, I have gained a lot! Or at least not lost what I have gained!

In 1980, I was not doing that and because of it, I lost s lot, which caused me big problems

That is a very smart thing to do, but confidently predicting the US will install TRUMP! as a dictator is something that has a statistically zero chance of happening. Anything is possible, but not everything is at all probable.

The Pope is the OFFICIAL representative of God on earth. What the Pope says is something that over 1.5 billion people believe and follow. Are you saying "your" evaluation of Trump is better than the Pope and the 1.5 billion followers that believe the him?

You saying that Trump is right and the Pope is wrong is just plain biased stupidity.
Sorry bout that,

1. Im still getting used to our Pope, measuring him for what he says.
2. He spoke out about what the President did, how Trumps actions may have stepped on his toes.
3. He loss steam as the Pope doing so, everyone knows Trump was joking, it was funny, but it wasnt politically correct.
4. Just attacking Trump for over stepping his bounds is a sign of weakness, unable to catch his Pope legs is understandable, hes new at this.
5. Some things you just dont say anything about, its below you to comment, that was one of those times.
6. He will understand later when his new job starts to make since to him.
7. Pope zero, Trump 1.
8. He is the Pope, and for G-d's sake listen to him, but if you says bad, close your ears.

Regards,

Imagine how he feels, watching the religion to which he has dedicated his life, sell its soul to a grotesque thug who is essentially the opposite of the Jesus he worships.

A lot of actual Christians are going through that right now.
As opposed to the ghouls promoting abortion? **** off.
