Pope Leo says he does not fear Trump, citing Gospel as he pushes back in feud over Iran war

Pope stay in your lane of religious matters and don’t veer into military ones

‘U.S.-born Pope Leo XIV pushed back Monday on President Donald Trump’s broadside against him over the U.S.-Israel war in Iran, telling reporters that the Vatican’s appeals for peace and reconciliation are rooted in the Gospel, and that he doesn’t fear the Trump administration.

“To put my message on the same plane as what the president has attempted to do here, I think is not understanding what the message of the Gospel is,” Leo told The Associated Press aboard the papal plane en route to Algeria. “And I’m sorry to hear that but I will continue on what I believe is the mission of the church in the world today.
[…]
“I will not shy away from announcing the message of the Gospel and inviting all people to look for ways of building bridges of peace and reconciliation, and looking for ways to avoid war any time that’s possible”. Speaking to other reporters, he added: “I have no fear of the Trump administration.”’

Authoritarian regimes – such as the authoritarian Trump regime – use fear and intimidation to silence opponents.

Standing up to authoritarian regimes and refusing to be intimidated is the most effective tactic, as authoritarians are fundamentally cowards – Trump is no different.
Why would Pope Leo fear Trump? Politically speaking, they just disagree.

Only because Trump is the President. If a Democrat was President, the media would ignore the poop's comments.
Popes have spoken out on political matters in the past and the media did not ignore it

Why would he “fear” the Trump administration?

He is also saying the only hope for Iran is converting to Christianity, spreading the Gospel there. That is hardly taking the side of the radical Islamic regime.

Another manufactured crisis by the satanic media.

The pope (by and large) has always been an passive enemy of what America stands for.

Not necessarily a bad thing, considering our country has become like Babylon. Most of the population are atheists/pagans, even many so-called Christians who support abortion and homosexuality. Our country has become a shadow of itself as the people have turned away from God, just as the people of ancient Israel/Judah did throughout history.

MAGA and Christian nationalism is fighting hard to right the ship and steer us back on the right path, but the damage has been done.
