That remains to be seen.
Well doesn't our government make laws based upon the ten commandments?

In America, our government recognizes God (Creator) as the arbiter of morality. That is not always so with other governments, especially Marxist ones. 'That guy' is clueless and makes no 'good point' whatsoever. The 2nd amendment is part of our Constitution which cites God (Creator) as the final power in granting rights. The 'guy' is a shallow thinker. That guy is an idiot however he does make a good point. If God put government in charge, then why is it always different depending on what country you're in?![]()

Sad he doesn't expect other regimes to respect human rights too.I'm guessing so as that's what the Bible says. Romans 13:1.

and where do they come from...The subject is human rights.
I already told you.and where do they come from...
You told me, you didn't convince me.I already told you.
I'm not out to convince you or anyone else but, tell me, from where do your morals come from? You told me, you didn't convince me.
I'm not out to convince you or anyone else but, tell me, from where do your morals come from?
Family, friends, the culture all around me. In that order.I'm not out to convince you or anyone else but, tell me, from where do your morals come from?
Define 'unpopular' ideas. Promoting the idea that a POTUS is akin to a fascist may be seen as treading on the rights of others who duly elected that POTUS. If religious rights mandate harming others, that is a violation. Owning a gun does not violate anyone's rights, unless it is used to harm others."Human" rights is a pretty fuzzy term and is often abused to justify violating more rights than it protects.
Inalienable rights, however, are simply by-products of volition. It all stems from the ability of a human to think, and act, for themselves. Whether the government protects those rights, or not, depends on the Constitution and the laws we implement. But the capacity to think and act freely is an inherent human trait.
In my view, the Bill of Rights could have been, should have been, replaced with something more general - "Congress shall pass no law limiting a person's freedom (to think and act on their own volition) unless that person is violating the same rights of others".
Is speaking or publishing unpopular ideas violating the rights of others? -> First Amendment
Is practicing an unpopular religion violating the rights of others -> First Amendment
Is owning a gun violating the rights of others? -> Second Amendment
... etc, etc...
Where does your family, and culture all around you get their rights from?Family, friends, the culture all around me. In that order.
So God wrote Hammurabi's Code?Anyways, obviously my answer is our rights come from God.
Same place that chimps get theirs, our ancestors. Every human society has had a moral code since the time of the first humans.Where does your family, and culture all around you get their morals from?
A few of them, but not all.Well doesn't our government make laws based upon the ten commandments?

100%If that tree is where I want to build a house, our rights now conflict.
Also 100%Every animal must kill to live, that is the world we live in.
