Much can be learned about the human physique (and the human mind) from the lessons of vitality and body systems dangers of illegal sports performance-enhancing steroids.

Steroids boosts muscle performance in the short-term but damages body systems and circulation features in the long-term and are therefore considered dangerous.

Athletes who take steroids feel the pressures from society to succeed and achieve, and while many think only that their body performance on the field is being spiked/enhanced, there is the argument that their minds (and ethics consciousness) are changing too, which is very considerable.

Imagine the following mock dialogue between Shiva (Hindu god of destruction/meditation) and the Blob (fictional sentient ooze-creature from the American sci-fi horror films) about 'physique morality.'

====

SHIVA: People are big in spirit.
BLOB: People are organic.
SHIVA: Each sentient being is physically unique.
BLOB: Each sentient being can be transformed physically.
SHIVA: Fitness is important and there are rules.
BLOB: Steroids boost confidence.
SHIVA: Steroids create arrogance.
BLOB: Steroids are controversial.
SHIVA: Steroids are unethical.
BLOB: Steroids are omens.

In suffering countries, many children are born with a cleft lip or cleft palette, making life difficult.

OpeationSmile.org is a non-profit organization working to bring comfort to these children and providing necessary life care.

Physical appearance is important to human beings. How strong we are, how beautiful we look, how fit we seem (etc.) all make us feel better about ourselves.

If we imagine that the fictional American comic book superhero Batman (DC Comics), a masked urban vigilante who tackles the criminally insane, challenges an iconic deformed 'problem-child' such as Leatherface (the fictional chainsaw-wielding cannibal from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film franchise), we might see how human imagination leans toward narcissism.

Do steroids alter the 'human mirror'?
