Trump's Supporters In Rural Areas Are In For A Nasty Surprise

I was driving through coal mining country the other day. I went past this run down house with a barn falling down. They had Trump flags all over it. I initially thought "typical".

Then I thought about it. These are the people who were strongly Democrat for decades.

Then one day Hillary came into the area and told the people she was going to get rid of their jobs, but no worries, there would be government welfare programs for them.

No, Trump isn't going to do anything for them but he also isn't threatening their way of life.
Inner city ghettos. Endless Progs elected. Ten times more money sent to those areas than the run-down areas with Trump flags.

did you say anything about harris saying the same shit?......just asking.....
Yes.
I was thinking how the hell, was she going to go after the "Price Gougers"?
It isn't like during a hurricane or tornado, where the gouging is obvious.
Corporations have had months and months of gouging.
Now they have free reign, to keep prices high.

/----/ "The whole rationale behind trump was “yea he’s a criminal, yea he’s corrupt, yea he’s racist, yea he’s a fascist, yea he incited an insurrection, yea he cozies up to dictators"
That was the demons running around in your head saying that.

1 day ago · We're going to bring those prices way down." Former President Donald Trump holds a news conference outside the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster on Aug.15, 2024 in...............

"I won on the border, and I won on groceries," he told NBC's Kristen Welker. "Very simple word, groceries. Like almost -- you know, who uses the word? I started using the word -- the groceries. When you buy apples, when you buy bacon, when you buy eggs, they would double and triple the price over a short period of time, and I won an election based on that. We're going to bring those prices way down."

Trump invented groceries.

Trump's cult gets fooled..............AGAIN...................

The D Party turned its back on workers some time ago, as did the R Party long ago. When will they realize it?

It’s not a two party system. It’s a one party system.

Aug 13, 2024 · Tech billionaire Elon Musk is pictured on the left, while former President Donald Trump is shown on the right. Trump praised Musk over firing his workers during a long interview..........

Musk, who has endorsed Trump's 2024 presidential bid, mentioned his desire for a potential second Trump administration to form a "government efficiency commission," which he has volunteered to join. The former president then praised Musk for his handling of employees.

"I love it," Trump said. "You're the greatest ... I mean, I look at what you do. You just walk in and you just say, 'You wanna quit?' They go on strike, I won't mention the name of the company, but they go on strike and you say, 'That's OK, you're all gone ... Every one of you is gone.'"

"You are the greatest!" he added after Musk chuckled. "You would be very good [on the proposed commission]. Oh, you would love it."

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s new commission to slash government spending began soliciting applications for staff jobs Thursday, saying it wants to hire “revolutionaries” who score
“revolutionaries” who score highly on IQ tests.

“We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting,” the so-called Department of Government Efficiency said on X.

Trump already screwed over grocery prices....

It's not going to get better at all. Might get worse.

His USDA pick was handed out as a political favor instead of to a FARMER who actually understands what farmers need.

The independent farmer is toast.

BUT....there is hope.
Trump is known for firing people who he appoints. They either do it well or they are gone. One bad squeak and they get canned.

Farm Credit and USDA inspections are crap at the moment. They are in desperate need of being tightened up. Some people are going to end up dead if it's not fixed soon. And our food exports will die as a result. Prices are soaring because of the corporate farm....because independent farmers keep the prices low. (just the way things are)

Farming is a skill set that is in very very short supply. Farming once employed over 15% of the workforce and provided 75% of USA's economy. (Cotton was king)

Now....one farmer can work 1500 acres alone. Two to three can work 100,000 acres. (Big machines are really helpful)

Meaning if you destroy existing farmers there are not going to be people who can replace them and know how to raise crops.

That's our food supply gone and all imported or completely controlled by corporations.

Trump's Supporters In Rural Areas Are In For A Nasty Surprise

Buyer’s remorse is rampant since Trump and the GOP barely won the election. Muslim Americans in Michigan who supported Trump are now begging Biden to save Gaza from escalation from Bibi. Wall Street executives are alarmed by Trump’s tariffs. Hispanics in south Florida are freaking out about the mass deportation scheme. Weren’t they paying attention before the election?

Now it’s the farmers who are sounding the alarm about Trump’s plans to carry out his promises to jack up tariffs and deport 10 to 15 million immigrants. Apparently, they thought Trump was bloviating and didn’t really mean to carry out his promises. That’s a common talking point on the right these days. I thought Trump meant what he said.

Rural America has been the foundation of MAGA Republican support. In 2024, Trump won rural voters by an overwhelming margin of 64% to 32% over Harris. Moreover, Trump won over 77% of the popular vote, on average, in the nation’s most farming dependent counties.

Trump’s loyal supporters in the nation’s farm belt are (justifiably) worried that Trump is going to badly damage their $1.5 trillion industry. His extreme deportation plan is causing widespread panic among farmers at risk of losing workers and business. Agricultural output will decline between $30 and $60 billion if Trump’s signature deportation policy is carried out.

The soybean and grain dependent Midwest is especially at risk, since this part of the country needs the federal government’s program that allows certain companies to bring foreign workers into the U.S. to fill temporary agriculture jobs. The forced removal of immigrant farm workers will badly hurt Nebraska.

A study released last month by the National Corn Growers Association found another failed Trump trade war with China could cost U.S. soybean and corn farmers as much as $7.3 billion in annual production value.

These people voted for Trump because they were scared of trans women using girls bathrooms or the 1 or 2 trans girls nationwide that might actually want to play sports. Now look at what they are facing.
Dang, you mean to tell me we were starving four years ago, before Biden let in millions of illegals?

You type nonsense w/o proof. Backup your statements with links. Trump is not president, so he didn't screw up food prices, duh.
As Trump deports millions of migrants getting free food the demand for food will drop and so will prices.
I agree that farmers do better under Trump, which is why they voted for him, even the Amish and Mennonites.
I'm sure they can have Trump's ear if they need a few new laws to help them produce more food.

Dang, you mean to tell me we were starving four years ago, before Biden let in millions of illegals?
/—-/ True. Before Biden let in millions of illegals, food rotted in the fields while people starved in the street.
When offered jobs to pick the food, the starving people said that work is beneath us.

The left's favorite information source "DailyKos" has it upside down and backwards as usual. Trump supporters in rural areas were in for a nasty surprise when Biden's FEMA refused to help them after a flood. Jan 20 can't come soon enough.

Cool words…I’m certain you have solutions in mind…What would a ‘pro worker’ party do differently?
And your solution is continue doing the same thing expecting a different result.

Lol.
