Federal agency headquarters buildings operated at 12% of their estimated capacity,

One of the biggest scams is sick leave. The government anticipates that their employees will be sick one day per month. Worse, unused sick days are paid to retiring employees as part of their pension.

That’s different, though. If I want to hire a plumber and pay him $150 to put a new float in the toilet rather than spend the 5 minutes to do it myself, it’s my money to spend as I choose.

Very different when lazy or incompetent government employees hired to do specific work use OUR tax dollars to contract it out.
Then you probably make more money than your plumber does. I do as well, but I enjoy doing these tasks. I'm also a "barber starver" as I cut my own hair.

Sounds like we got plenty of room in those buildings to set up some low-income housing. I'm sure the bureaucrats will love it.

They also get paid for any unused vacation time ... do you propose eliminating sick leave and vacation time? ...

... or do you propose eliminating the union? ... punishing the workers for the heinous people we elect into public office? ... you know I'm all for using the Middle Class as a whipping boy ...

What about the scam woth annual? They go on skiing vacations and travel abroad and claim they’re “working”.

In my union the first day off for illness was counted against your 'day off'. Any longer required written doctors' orders to stay home. Only then were you compensated.

Government workers shouldn't have more benefits than taxpayers do, especially taxpayers who are more skilled than they are. If you don't want to take a vacation that should be on you, not the taxpayer. And, if so many government workers aren't taking vacations why are they still so behind in their work?

Punish the workers ... I get it ...

The United States Attorney General, a cabinet post, pays $221,400 per year ... are you suggesting that's more than lawyers get on average? ... seriously? ...

Government workers are always behind on their work because they get paid shit, and benefits is the only reason to work such a thankless job ... our country's top lawyer gets electrician's pay ...

There are $trillions to be saved in a wasteful and bloated Federal government.

Elon said he can trim $2T from the Budget, that would be a great start.
Pipe dream

Pipe dream

The budget grows with each and every pork barrel CR ... Republicans controls the government ... will we see appropriations bills signed into law for a change? ...

The bookkeeping is beyond repair ... no way to find out where the money is going ... c'mon Republicans ... time to step up and fix things ...

No, because MAGA Republicans oppose all spending

Pipe dream
Nope. Reality.

Biden's Budgets are about $6.7T because "omnibus Bills" never cut anything, they just keep adding via continuing resolutions

Trump's Budgets were about $4T before Covid, but bumped up during Covid.

Elon and Vivek plus regular order in Budgets should easily trim $2T from the Budget

The fact is these government morons used the cover of Covid to jack up government spending about 65% holy shit!

Cut the unneeded departments, then cut the unneeded space, then trim their budgets to the bone.

They're not gonna cut anything.

They pretty much say that outright in that 2025 plan if one grasps what they're reading.

If you actually read it, all they're really gonna do is keep them and move their offices to different federal agencies. They want to reorganize. Not cut.

Just the fact that you're seeing headlines like the topical content in this thread is indicative that they're warming yuns up for it.

Public workers earn 34 percent more than private workers.
