Owners of second homes in Wales are having to sell up. That’s no disaster: it’s a godsend | Will Hayward
Council tax hikes on holiday homes aren’t ‘anti-English’ or detrimental to tourism. This is about preserving embattled communities, says Guardian columnist Will Hayward
Its good that this is happening and that young people in Wales can find homes in their own communities.
Put simply its not economic for the settler class to buy up Weldh houses and leave them empty for most of the year.
Great.
Wales is following the lead of places like Barcelona and Venice in this. Its only right that visitors should pay their share.
After english moronic criticism of the policy it appears that they are adopting it too.
An all round win for the Welsh.
