Yes. But honestly I don't think we need religion to do that. It should happen out of human nature, to help others in need. Yes, religion helps organize some of those efforts, but so do many other non-religious groups. With the money that religion has, there shouldn't be any need for further help. Christianity could take care of hunger and disease among impoverished people with a snap of their fingers. You should not believe these nutters and conmen.Or fire and brimstone. We're just not that kind of church. Yet my pastor says that God told him when he went into the ministry that Jesus would return in his lifetime.
He always says it matter-of-factly. No other visions, words from God, prophecies in the 13 years we have been members. Just that. Before I die, Jesus will come back. Our pastor is now in his mid-60s.
