Oral Arguments in Supreme Court Today for Trans in Girls Sports

I went to college in the 90's, and my schools wrestling team had to be disbanded because of Title IX being applied to overall enrollment and not demand for sports program access.
There were still ample opportunities for boys to wrestle.
Few opportunities for girls prior to Title IX

Key change was the number of college scholarships that opened to girls

And now we're allowing boys to take what the girls earned. Way to go, democrats.

At the top levels and schools maybe, but it decimated the mids and lower divisions.

Again, at the top levels. Down below the lawyers decided to take the easy way out and base it on enrollment and not demand.

At some colleges/universities, a big company like New Balance would decide that a new "X" sport at a local school would be good advertisement. The school's AD would find himself with a fat sack o cash, and a new "X" field with uniforms and equipment included would soon be under construction. Ah, but since "X" is a men's sport, the school would find itself in violation of Title IX. Nowhere near enough interest to field an additional women's sport, so a men's sport would have to go. Next thing you know, half a dozen or more male athletes, often the first in their family to attend college and only able to do so via scholarship, would be shit outta luck. Their coach, after dedicating decades of his life and skill specifically to help serve said demographics, would be out of town on the first bus with a big fat knife in his back. Thanks Title IX. Didn't matter that every female athlete on every woman's team signed a petition in support of the men's sport on the chopping block, political correctness must be served.

99 percent never turn pro

A female deserves that athletic scholarship as much as a male.

One college no longer has wrestling, there are plenty of colleges that do

If your Div 3 college drops wrestling, you were not going anywhere anyway

...
And if there aren't enough female athletes to fill a squad, a corresponding male athlete doesn't deserve a scholarship? Cut off a tall man's legs so he's the same height as a woman?

Unless you try out for the Olympics, there is nowhere to go. The idea is to get an education, which is what most college athletes do.

Exactly why we got Title IX
Women deserve scholarships as much as men

If there aren't enough female athletes interested in sports at a high level, you are just taking from Peter to give to nobody. Hope that makes you feel virtuous.

The market has a way of working itself out

I'm a father to a daughter and I do NOT support men competing with her.

First of all, that's not true and even if it was, anytime a man competes with a woman and doesn't place last, he has used his unfair advantage to beat out a female. I don't care if the man comes in 9th place. The 10th place female was cheated of that 9th place spot because of him
.

More bullshit - Anytime a man gets a spot on a team, he has ABSOLUTELY taken away an opportunity from the woman who would otherwise have gotten it.

It's not about safely. It's about privacy. Women don't want to see your naked junk when they're also naked. What is your problem anyway? Do you get off on exposing yourself to women?

It absolutely does. It protects them from men pushing their..., noses into women's sports.

You want to call yourself a woman? Fine. That doesn't affect me or my daughter. You want to compete against her on the basketball court. No. Go **** off and find a men's team, sweetie.

The law is pretty clear here. Sex discrimination is not gender discrimination.
What is clear is that you're suffering from a bad case of Trans Derangement Syndrome and that your unable to grasp anything that was said by the The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC)
