The big money is in the innovation/engineering phase and the retail/service phase. The manufacturing and shipping phases only make pennies. So the perfect business model is to invent the shit here, make the shit over there, and sell the shit here. And that's what America does best.

We have huge cracks in the "invent the shit here" part of the model, though, because our education system has been a real piece of shit for a long time. The whole damn model is about to come crashing down on us if we don't keep our innovative edge.
