Fleegle apparently doesn't like free speech. But this October morning was “Trumpstock,” a small festival celebrating the president. The speakers included the local Republican congressman, Paul Gosar, and lesser-known conservative personalities. There was a fringe 2020 Senate candidate in Arizona who ran a website that published sexually explicit photos of women without their consent; a pro-Trump rapper whose lyrics include a racist slur aimed at Barack Obama; and a North Carolina activist who once said of Muslims, “I will kill every one of them before they get to me.”

I've been saying all along that there are people who have a vested professional interest in keeping us angry, paranoid and isolated from each other. They're really having their way right now, because it appears they have so many willing subjects.they are playing both ends against the middle papaI am tired of the extremists in this country. No middle ground, no compromise and always agitated.

To me it's like they divert us to trivial BS and keeps us from looking at what we need to really see.

Republicans have been doing this since Reagan and his "Welfare Queen" lies. Diverting the middle class from the amount of money he was funnelling to the wealthy, and that his much vaunted "robust economy" was purchased with huge deficits and public spending in the military sector, rather than by private industry growth.
Republicans have consistently sought election by denigrating Democrats as "communists", and currently "socialilsts". Their economic policies have exaserbated the gap between rich and poor, and resulted in two major crashes, one of which nearly took the down world economy. Trickle down is a fallacy, and tax cuts don't create jobs.
Republicans keep lying because if they told the truth, no one would vote for them. The bald truth is that the standard of living, health, and income of Americans are all declining. The scale has been utterly tipped in favour of the wealthy, and unless income levels for working Americans go up drastically, those things are not going to change.
--------------------------------------------- JUST one example but from what I hear , even you rich canooks flock to the USA for healthcare that they pay for out of their pockets . And you 'canook' style freedom of speech is pretty silly compared to AMERICAN style Freedom of Speech DLady .I am tired of the extremists in this country. If you think it is just one side, you are part of the problem and are not being honest.
Liberals don't know what hit them. We are taking America back. What’s going on is the higher logic men are waking up

Trump is more of a threat to world peace than Putin or Kim Jong Un. The same opinion here in this country. And seeing DOOM without the TRUMP . I don't see Doom . All I see is 4 more years of fairly good times if the Trump wins the next election . It won't be perfect even with theTRUMP but it'll be better with the Trump [hopefully] than with hilary or another Demo. Course , that's just my opinion and we may see what happens Sparky .
Your thoughts on the concept that race baiting indicates a lowered IQ?
It's just an article doofus....relax. The reactions here by the usual suspects are proof of its relevancy..if not its accuracy.Wow! A lot of what we see here everyday....an interesting look into the far right rural voter:

Great American Pizza & Subs, on a highway about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas, was busier and Trumpier than usual. On any given day it serves “M.A.G.A. Subs” and “Liberty Bell Lasagna.” The “Second Amendment” pizza comes “loaded” with pepperoni and sausage. The dining room is covered in regalia praising President Trump.

I don't see that as race baiting, sorry. It was factual and descriptive. I imagine it was also superfluous..given the Trump demographic..but they gotta sell papers.Your thoughts on the concept that race baiting indicates a lowered IQ?

Let's not be that hasty, Eye.
What this article provides is a view into a segment of the American population few (if any) of us ever get to see or listen to. We get to watch all kinds of crackpots and uncanny figures at various stages of delusion up to, and including one Mr. Villalta:
Mark Villalta said he had been stockpiling firearms, in case Mr. Trump’s re-election is not successful.
“Nothing less than a civil war would happen,” Mr. Villalta said, his right hand reaching for a holstered handgun. “I don’t believe in violence, but I’ll do what I got to do.”
That's the derangement right there, professing not to believe in violence while also stockpiling firearms and "reaching for a holstered handgun".
There are two questions the article doesn't answer (and probably can't), and these would be: 1) How prevalent is the described derangement, and, 2) how much coordination is there going on between deranged groups. Both bear on the issue of this thread, since a "Civil War" - or somewhat broader, widespread violence - requires that there is a conspiracy, both broad and secret coordination. A crackpot here and there shooting up a church or a pizza joint, terrible as that is, doesn't amount to a civil war.
So, Flac has it exactly right: "You're into derangement and conspiracy world." He's also right in that what the article describes is "TDSydrome", the slavish, potentially violence-prone subservience to the Dear Leader, as expressed by many interviewed for that article.
In light of reports that local police departments are often being infiltrated by ultra-right-wing groups, and often looking the other way when aware of right-wing gun nuts stockpiling weapons and ammunition, the question remains: How many are really out there, what's their level of coordination, and is it possible we remain unaware because no one is looking in, and hardly anyone is reporting on that matter? Is it even thinkable that a group large enough for a civil war, or at least large enough to throw some region or other into complete lawlessness and turmoil, is coordinating, gathering, heavily armed, and remains undetected?
They rise to any bait....hell..they snap at the un-baited hook. They beat themselves up with the never-ending exposure of their conspiracy-ridden fantasies--and yes, provide me with the occasional insight. The interest this thread provoked provides many clues as to where people here are at. It exposes the site's demographic and makes for an interesting conversation. It's just an article doofus....relax. The reactions here by the usual suspects are proof of its relevancy..if not its accuracy.Wow! A lot of what we see here everyday....an interesting look into the far right rural voter:

Well you really got an EAGLE-EYE for the BIG stories.. At least I'm HOPING it's not fake..
Why don't find a REAL weapon to bludgeon the "usual suspects" with?? Makes it more interesting for me...
It works out very nicely for the wrong folks if we are dumb enough to get split into groups and set at each other's throats. And if we are dumb enough to fall for this, maybe we deserve it.I don't see that as race baiting, sorry. It was factual and descriptive.
