NATO Countries Pour Weapons Into Ukraine, Risking Conflict With Russia

Keep in mind when Russia wanted to put a base in Cuba aka Cuban Missel Crisis I think it was, Now look at this map and listen to a couple more minutes.
I understand attention spans are wary since the pandemic. Also remember how close we are now to nuclear war!

The socalled Cuban missile crisis involves much more than I have the time to discuss right now.

Suffice to say that Mearsheimer has it all right for as far as I heard him out.

Who is Mearsheimer and what's his background?

Good question I'll see if I can find out for you, don't know who he is but I do know who is selling out our sovereignty to the third world while warring about other people's borders .

You are correct in this China taking over the worlds resources and I agree it is wrong but who helped them do so? How much money changed hands between China and our leaders?
You think China is wrong from an American POV. Would you think it's wrong of America doing the same, from a China POV?
I''m not interested in establsihing blame here.
Who sold off our manufacturing jobs to China and why?I know NAFTA pretty much finished us off far as factory's and middle class Americans losing jobs to communist or socialist nations.

I've talked about America's large corporations going to China at length on this forum.

You don't have to bother, I can do it myself.

If nothing else he gives us something else to think about.

When did Ukraine become so important to the NATO nations all of a sudden?
America is not dealing with a small defenseless nation now.
It is like our founders said " Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death far as Russia is concerned.

Well now..might not be the walkover that Putin envisioned...but..is that a good thing?

The Dutch are sending rocket launchers for air defense. The Estonians are sending Javelin antitank missiles. The Poles and the Latvians are sending Stinger surface-to-air missiles. The Czechs are sending machine guns, sniper rifles, pistols and ammunition.

Even formerly neutral countries like Sweden and Finland are sending weapons. And Germany, long allergic to sending weapons into conflict zones, is sending Stingers as well as other shoulder-launched rockets.
In all, about 20 countries — most members of NATO and the European Union, but not all — are funneling arms into Ukraine to fight off Russian invaders and arm an insurgency, if the war comes to that.
At the same time, NATO is moving military equipment and as many as 22,000 more troops into member states bordering Russia and Belarus, to reassure them and enhance deterrence.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has brought European countries together as never before, minds concentrated by the larger threat to European security presented by the Russia of President Vladimir V. Putin.

Yes. If Ukraine falls, the rest of Europe will too. Give a megalomaniac an inch, and he will take a mile.

I'm an American who loves my country and hate war unless absolutely necessary.
People say I'm on Putin side but this is not true. I'm on our side. Don't like or dislike Putin or Ukranie but don't have much use for the president of Ukraine but nothing against the Ukranian people.

So lets give China the rest of the world too while we're at it?
I feel a war with Russia may also be a war with China not sure since China is taking over the worlds resources.

If the western nations step back and do nothing, then the western world is doomed.

It is that simple.

Do nothing now, and a worldwide dictatorship will be the result.

Tell me about it! Our nation is being invaded.
Do you realize how much crime we now have thanks to sex and drug traffickers?
I wish I could remember the name of a Lebanese woman who speaks about how fast a nation can be ruined and destroyed by evil.
I read about people losing thier spouses, children to cartels Mexico can't keep LEO because they are killed in the most grusome ways,. Peoples kids are stolen and sold .ETC.ETC,ETC.

I don't think this is the time. Plus do you think the China we helped build will stand by? We have to be smart in our moves.

I'm like most just giving an opinion because realistically not one of us can do a damn thing about any of it.

We will never be as strong as we are now. Thanks to the xiden admin we have already lost 85 billion in military equipment. We can't suffer too many more wild successes like that.

In know but mutual destruction is not a good thing either.
I am just getting out some frustration with all of this I can do nothing about of course.

Ke Sera Sera.

I always liked this song one of my teenage grandkids played in 2002, its the way I feel about this whole clustertroop.

Sure..but you do realize that this is enough to get the Ukraine into more trouble..but not even close enough to get Putin to back off? the tougher the resistance...the more Putin dips into his warbag~
Unfortunately you are spot on...the military aid is just false hope. If the Russians get past the sanctions and begin to grow the BRICS system they can simply stop marching on Kiev and just dig in where they are and wait....

. If the Russians get past the sanctions

Putin is not getting past the Sanctions except by selling the Eastern half of Russia to China. China’s bargaining strength with the Kremlin is unlimited now. Putin does not have an economic power friend in the entire world.

Russia can't even take Ukraine, you think they also want to take on NATO. :blowpop:
