There are lots of old homes in disrepair in rust belt towns that can be had for next to nothing. All it takes is initiative. Instead, local governments build ‘affordable housing’ with rent paid with welfare money. It’s a cultural thing. The premise of this thread feeds that culture.

Modern TV entertainment pays for a lot of sports and the subscriber pays the freight. Replacing stadiums that are 20 years old with new ones is a disgrace. Any city team designing those stadiums with no attention to the future is even worse if upkeep takes a good amount of any renovations. In today's reality, the Superdome in New Orleans is outdated from modern standards. Even with putting endless dollars into it as renovations for it is ongoing. Yet it is good enough to play football in it.
